Bovada to Discontinue Poker as of September 30
Bovada Poker has been acquired by Ignition Casino. Bovada poker players will have to transfer their poker account to Ignition by September 30. Bovada has instructions on transferring accounts for those interested in doing so here. The same core software will remain. Poker Points accumulated on Bovada will not transfer over to Ignition, so make sure to spend them before the deadline.

Bovada players who have funds in the poker room will continue to have their funds at Bovada under their sportsbook/casino balance, but there will be no transferring of funds to Ignition possible after September 30.

Bovada has said that all players have been notified, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask here.

If you want to keep playing Casino games and betting on sports there isn't any issue for you. If you want to play poker you will need to play on Ignition. They only "sold" their poker software to Ignition. The reason I quoted that is because they basically just rebranded their poker software to Ignition and are keeping their sports bettors away from the poker tables.

Nope, Bovada will remain business as usual. Casino, Sports, Horses. Nothing will change if you don't play poker. Those that play poker will need to make an account with Ignition which offers Casino and Poker.

Always pull your winnings from the site. Whether your playing with the books or in DFS. Not worth the risk, if a site is shut down.

Got tired of watching the bums lose money to players instead of the house. Keeping their sports and casino players separate is smart for their business but leaves little reason to play at the new place if they keep the rake and anonymous seats

Wrong. Still the largest site for US players and still access to Canadian and Asian players from Bodog/88.

they were having ALOT of disconnects almost every night so they gave it to their sister sight who has better connection and now you wont have to worry about the lagging or disconnects anymore

Check your facts pal. Ignition poker is US players only.

I don't see how the move doesn't affect the player pool particularly in the lower stakes. All of the degen sports bettors than would come in and punt a few buys...gone. It's just not going to be worth grinding it out with a bunch of regs on anonymous tables w/ their rake w/ their 4 table cap. I guess time will tell. If online holdem cash games isn't dead now in the US, it's on life support.

Agree, pointless to play on ignition without a decent bonus. There's a 15k free roll tomorrow night if you guys switch over by then. 10 bucks cash also, so 2 small stakes tourneys for nothing

Not many options, bovada the only site with dead money, poker online dead until legalized now.

Bodog/Bovada used to be quite lucrative for poker back in the day. Online has all but dried up.

I still think you can do okay playing MTT on sites if that's your thing. Omaha is an untapped game too where the player pool is still pretty clueless. Cash games though, kiss them goodbye unless you're a beast and in a rake race. Player pool tougher & rake too high

its a shame. Bovada could have been a poker flag bearer for the US. Instead they wanted nothing to do with it

Anyone that's played on both sites...is the player pool better, worse, or the same now that poker has moved to ignition ?
