Bet365 confiscated of approximately 150k eur in winnings

You need to provide more information about your situation. Bet365 is a solid book with good reputation. With little information you provided, it doesn't make sense why they confiscated your funds. More information like deposit method, deposit amount, bets placed and subsequent bet365 replies will be more helpful in replying to your thread. P.S. I only play with books having good reviews. And I never have any trouble so far apart from delayed payout. 9 times out of 10, if a major bookmaker like Bet365 confiscate funds, it's the punter who is at fault. Just saying

I understand your point of view as well as the positive reputation of bet365. Thats what I thought as well until the rant quickly started after my hit of fortune. The case is still open and I might be forced to take legal action so unfortunately i can't tell you every detail. Here's just some more. Hope these will trigger some objective conversations not just "yeah, you tried to scam them and failed. get lost" stuff.

Obv. they gotta have some "valid" proof of fraud. Everything I am aware of is that someone used my lost drivers licence/id to open fake accs. IP addresses have also been matched at some point. I do have at least 10 different log in marks on my account though. I assume that this have happened at my university campus where is computers open for everyone as well as wifi connection available practically for everyone. It has been my valid drivers licence so they linked me to it. They have received docs to fully verify my identity.

I have received just some typical support nonsence answers during the time this was under investigation at bet365. Here's some get your popcorns ready: (honestly i think these wont help at all)

2 weeks after proper investigation of additional docs

In order to proceed with the review of your account, we would require an alternative photograph of you holding your identification as the one you provided was taken in the mirror and so the details are not clear.

After these they called me and I explained my unawareness of the situation.

They decided to inform me that my account have been closed and funds held after a couple of weeks after these.

As yall probably know these extra checks have been a thing for bet365 already for a while. Stories about those must get letters have been on already for years.

These won't change until firm actions of justice have been taken. One single bettor have hands tighten when it comes to this. Network of bureaucracy is taking care of it. Its pretty risky business to take any legal action against these multi billion organizations whose main target is to steal from the weak (limiting every capable player etc.)
The whole existence of the gambling commission and its links to uk bookies still remains a mystery for me. When it started to be OK for a bookie to take law in its own hands? I am just thinking and being philosophical here but when the burden of evidence changed so that its in players own responsibility to prove that these crazy claims aren't true.
I mean in my own home country no public company what so ever has rights to confiscate anything. 48k of hard cash deposits and getting this handling. I mean, come on.

If here's any1 who knows a ton of british gambling law please reply to my concerns.

I temp to lose things...guess thats personal. I have reported my lost wallet (this time) to police. So far they dont have a clue who's behind it. I haven't got any info from bet365 (direct ip addresses etc.) which could help it at some point. All i know is that my doc has been modified to open new accs.

It sounds like whoever stole your wallet and opened multiple Bet365 accounts using your information may have been gunning for extra bonus cash, though it's definitely not the norm; when identities are stolen or wallets lost, most fraudsters will simply try to fund a purchase or open a line of credit if they've got enough information, not open an online betting account which would require being funded. As others have said, your account balance is not the issue here. It sounds like there's a lot to sort through.

Bet365 is a licensed and regulated sportsbook required to perform KYC on all accounts. If you feel you've adequately taken steps to verify your account and deny wrongdoing, you have steps you can take: Launch a complaint with IBAS, Bet365 is a registered IBAS operator and will abide by whatever ruling IBAS makes on your case.

I've heard a similar story to this before. Turns out that the guy used his card and did ***********, and then a year later deposited under a different email and account, and won money, but the book wouldn't pay them because of the previous ********** issue.
