SBG Global Sportsbook unjustly cancels Formula 1 World Championship bets
Three players wrote SBR with similar complaints. Each player had wagered on Jenson Button to win the Formula 1 World Championship at the odds of 70:1.

At the time these wagers were placed the betting market, including Bookmaker (SBR rating A+), The Greek (SBR rating A+) and Betfair (SBR rating A+), was offering similar betting odds. SBG waited until Jenson Button won the first two Formula 1 races, voided the wagers, and offered to reinstate the bets at 10:1. SBG is wrongly applying the "gross or obvious error" rule to these bets. The line was not offered in error. SBGglobal bettors are victim of outright theft. SBG management would not discuss the bet cancellations with SBR.

This sportsbook has a long history of cheating players.

Send The General down there to rough them up. The sight of The General will teach them a lesson that SBR means business and is sending the heavy weights to scare them off.

It won't. SBG won't discuss it.

Don't mention this though. The RX will delete any post critical of their advertisers. At least EOG lets complaints stay for the most part.

SBG has always done this. I'm surprised people still play there.

lol Wow, that's a new one. Not that they should take the new odds, but if they did it wouldn't surprise me at all if these wagers were then voided, and reoffered at 4:1 if Button should win a couple more F1 tilts. Amateur book to put it mildly.

SBG Global reverses decision to cancel wager
SBG Global (SBR rating D-) has reversed its decision to cancel a Formula 1 racing future. The decision was initially outlined in SBR's April 22nd report. Three players wagered Jenson Button at 70-1 to win the Formula 1 World Championship. At the time the wagers were placed, other sportsbooks offered similar odds. SBG Global voided the bets and offered the players the wager at reduced odds - all but one player, who wagered $200 to win $14,000, accepted the deal. SBG Global has decided to honor the player's wager and agreed to pay the full $14,000. SBR will update this report pending the player's confirmation.

14 grand on 200 bucks wow nice hit holy shit...that can be a little life changing for a person that bets a few hundred bucks here and there...but if you're betting 200 bucks on 70-1 obviously you bet way more on the regular basis lol o.0

A good friend of mine has been caught up in this sorry affair.

I have worked in all corners of the globe in the sportsbook industry for the last 22 years either in senior management or odds compiling.

I dont understand why so many people seem to accept that once a punter accepts a new price for any wager the sportsbook has resolved that particular issue.

SBG gave their clients no choice in this matter. The original wagers placed at 70-1 had already been cancelled. The players were given the choice of a new wager at 10-1 or no bet at all. We all know this is outrageous behaviour.

This doesn't realease SBG from their moral responsibilty to do the right thing and settle all Button wagers placed at 70-1 at the original 70-1.

That's a change of policy, then. When EOG had their SBG Global banner up and promoted their "great teaser lines," a couple people pointed out their various thefts and EOG were very quick to either delete the thread or move it to "The Dump," their section for "meaningless drivel."
