Wanted to submit a follow-up to my problem yesterday (which was deleted by SBR for reasons I understood).
Essentially I deposited $400 via Debit card and placed a $400 wager on my team the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and it won. Placed a couple wagers and received a call telling me that my debit card deposit won't be accepted (even though the funds were taken) as for whatever reason my name is on a list of players of high risk and they referenced that they look at SBR and other forums. I didn't understand it but OK.
I immediately filed an SBR complaint as the initial request by the rep who called me were outrageous - needing to post up 2x my deposit or losing my winnings. Anyways SBR worked out things for me and management at WagerWeb decided to refund my deposit and pay my winnings.
I would like to just say that SBR helped out a lot but also that WagerWeb customer service was surprisingly a positive experience. I have talked to them a couple times since SBR got involved and never was treated rudely and when I was disconnected the rep even called me back.
I've heard a lot of negativity about WagerWeb and assuming I do receive the check I've been promised for my winnings ($500ish) I would recommend playing at this book.
I'm surprised they showed me the door so quick but I understand it. I have been a post up cash only player at Youwager and other books for some time so if they had just said "no more card deposits" I would have been fine with this. The money WAS good, as I even had to call my bank to authorize the payment as twice the payment was declined for suspiciousness (so theres no way I could dispute it which is what WagerWeb was worried about I'm guessing) The initial terms of their request were unreasonable but things have been fixed. I recommend WagerWeb as of now.
