#5As a small correction more information is coming out that the alledged "merger" is really a buyout. All youwager staff let go sunday and the acquirer (silver arrow/silver arrow marketing?) is bringing in it's own staff to run things.
All I can dig up on silver arrow (if it is them) is that someone called John Hartley is said to be part of it and they are based in Costa Rica. In the past they acted as an affiliate/SEO marketing company for places like Cirrus Casino, Cool Cat Casino, Wild Vegas Casino and Betroyal.Comment -

#10VIP.com, BetGameDay.com and Nine.com Shut Down
After pulling out of the US market in 2006, VIP.com, BetGameDay.com and Nine.com have decided to close shop. The sites all feature a closure notice.
VIP.com/BetGameDay.com were two of the oldest online gambling websites, mostly specializing in sports betting, however, both had Internet casinos.
Nine.com was a hugely successful online sports betting site throughout much of the first half of this past decade before being purchased by VIP.com.
VIP.com/BetGameDay.com have always operated in Curacao. The two companies were run by highly regarded individuals in the online gambling sector who made a name for themselves at various gaming conferences before laying low post-prohibition in 2006. Their intention had always been to re-enter the US market should regulation come to fruition.
Nine.com was originally founded in 1998 on the island of Margarita, a one time Venezuelan stronghold for offshore sports betting sites prior to Hugo Chavez coming into power.
The company first operated as Grand Central Sports then changed its name to BetCom before expanding to include some sister sites. The group would eventually become Nine.com. Marty Davis and Simon Eaton were two of the most popular affiliate tandems in the industry.
The founder of Nine.com went on to open one of the best Italian restaurants in Escazu, Costa Rica.
These companies were regular staples of the Gambling911.com website during their heyday and will be sorely missed.

#12Without further information to sum it up:
-Either purchased by Silver Arrow Marketing (unlikely since it looks like someone who runs the affiliate side) or Cool Cat Casino which is the Virtual Group of Casinos.
-IF it turns out to be Cool Cat Casino or really "Virtual Group of Casinos" then i would be a bit worried. There is a lot of bad history coming from this group written on various casino sites.Comment -

If this is true and they are somehow involved now, it's truly a shame that youwager decided to crawl into bed with these scumbags, which means psychopath Tej Kohli.
I would strongly suggest you run as fast as you can if that's the case. The Virtual casino and Prism casinos are also part of that group. Betroyal might be the worst book in the history of sports betting.
Trust me when I say, the owner is a thief and a liar. Not only to his employees but especially to his customers.Last edited by DwightShrute; 07-21-15, 03:27 PM.Comment -

#24So basically everything will be the same. Why would somebody start a post saying they are being sold to some weird scetchy casino company? What is the reasoning for that? I have played with youwager for over 10 years. They have been one of the best books I have dealt with. I know where their office is. I have been there before. Why would somebody make shiit like that up? So they are changing some parts of their business. Why are you trying to scare people?Comment -

If ownership has not changed in any way, why are they cleaning house?Comment -
