Size, Volume, Profit of Offshore Big Dogs?
So me and a few buddies were talking about the big offshore books...and started debating how big they are, the type of profits they realize, etc...

Obviously, most any answers will be conjecture...but I was wondering what others thought?

And I'm sticking mainly to the top rated books...(5D, Heritage, Pinnacle, Bookmaker)

    Any thoughts?

Pinnacle would handle in the billions annually I think.

The others some fraction of that.

I saw that Bodog did $8 billion in wagers last year and that was outside the US. The others were bigger.

BWin just sold for $1 billion.

I don't know what it is but it is big. Much bigger than I ever imagined.

IBCbet supposedly had $50 billion turnover a few years back. SBO would be even bigger I guess. Pinnacle, no idea.

Edit: guesstimate here from 2012 says "the two biggest" (ie ibc+sbo) turn over $2bn/week, ie $104bn a year together
Chris Eaton says match-fixing has led to organised crime in large swathes of world football, resulting in the intimidation or even murder of players.

Edit2: different reporting of same estimate says they're at $2bn _each_

JJ, so what about a shop like 5Dimes, which is all American bettors...what type of profits are they running through weekly?

It's in German, but the key bit is that they have an interview with the big cheese from IBCbet, and he says they turned over $45 billion in 2010, with a net profit of $300m (0.67%).
