Better not lose a 5dimes check
My bank appears to have "misplaced" my 5d payout check deposit. So I checked with 5d about getting another check should this remain lost, and they said it will cost $250 to stop payment, and my account will be permanently banned from having check payouts. Nice customer service

I actually had to mail this as I live in a rural area and the type of checks they use can't be scanned with a phone because they are foreign. The check has not yet cleared, but hopefully it will show up. It doesn't really matter though, because if 5d issues you a check, and you have to stop payment on it for some unforeseen reason(such as you never got it, it got lost, or you are unable to get it cashed), it costs you $250 and no more checks. Since they've pretty much shut off btc, its hard to get any significant cash out via any other of the methods listed.

What kind of bank misplaces a check? Did you not copy the check before sending it in?

I've got a photo and a copy, but its a foreign check, so that is useless because banks send the actual physical check back to the foreign bank to make sure it clears. Up to 15 days waiting period. No physical check= no $.

Indeep - It sounds like you opened a bnk acct where you mail in your deposits? With wagering and international chks thats not a good idea. I made a post about this numerous times. You need to find a bnk that understands what u intend on doing consistently like.... depositing foreign chks. My bank clears the chks overnight. So 1 business day. With this new procedure of bnks claiming they can't cash foreign chks is FALSE! Its a scam to make more money on the acct holder.

As for 5D... they've had this policy for at least 3 years now. They made this policy so it would cut down the potential possibility of double cashing a chk. Clearly thats why they do it.

Good advice. I would be interested in reading that post if you wouldn't mind posting a link.

I did check with some other banks since this has happened, and most don't hold them as long as this particular bank does. It seems like every bank has a different policy on this. I do understand that 5d has to protect themselves from continuously reissuing checks, but as with most of these offshore books, its much easier to get money in, than to get it back out.

If your funding requires payout by check your best bet is a ATM in a city with a large immigrant population.

                        Won't blink @ foreign checks.

                        Hope you get this resolved

The banks send the info electronically.

All checks from anywhere clear in 24 hours, at worst 48 hours.

Banks that claim it takes 15 days to clear simply want an extra 14 days to hold customers money.
