Pinnacle Sports has planned technical maintenance on their website tonight. The site will go down at approximately 9PM ET while the maintenance begins and be down for a few hours.

Anyone else find it somewhat odd that a bookie which doesn't accept US citizens chooses to quote a US timezone in all their communications and game start times?

      UTC/GMT please guys!

Every message I receive from Pinnacle is in PDT.

We will be doing some essential maintenance to our network beginning 21:00 PDT, Monday June 9th, 2014 for 3 hours. The website will not be available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

First, it's not only the us that uses that time zone, pretty sure there are more countries north and south of the us borders that use it as well.

Second, maybe it is because the main office and their servers are in or close to that time zone.

            LOL!
I suspect geography isn't your strong suit?
To the north there's only some western provinces of Canada.
To the south only Baja California and a few penguins in Antarctica!
And, as I understand it, Pinnacle is located in Curacao?
And their timezone is the same as US Eastern, not Pacific.
Regardless, most good bookie sites around the world display game times in their customers' local timezone.

Yes that is very strange. They surely need your local time as option.

Pinnacle is in curacao and half the year they are on EST.
that is why I said it was close to that time zone.

i was wrong about the countries being south if them,
really thought a little piece of South America would still be in that zone.

but I would guess the real reason has to do with original ownership and original customer base.
Just didn't want to go there in my initial response.
after making my mistake, I feel I have come back with a better answer though.
