    Is that moral?
Hi. I just want to share a problem I have with a top bookmaker, just to see your thoughts.

The 3rd of March I've placed 4 bets on a Italian Serie A match. All under 2.75 bets. The bets stand 6 and a half days, and then the bookmaker void them on the 9th of March with the "wrong odds" explanation. Interesting fact, they voided the bets at halftime, with result 0:0 (when it was clear the bets will probably be winning bets).

So they had almost an entire WEEK to see they offered "wrong odds", they had not, and finally they seen that only when it was clear bets will all win. Isn't that fraud? That way bookmakers can offer "wrong odds" on purpose days before a match (don't know if those were really wrong odds or not, the odds were better then on other bookmakers, but not THAT BETTER) and then void them if is clear those would be winning, or leave them pending if the result is against the bets. Palpable error or not, this is a highly unmoral conduct of the bookmaker!

I've sent them a mail right away, asked that my bets are deemed as winning, 8 days passed, and still I haven't got any reasonable explanation! They have sent me few mails saying they are reviewing my case, I wait, and when I ask them again about it, again they say I have to be patient until they investigate my complaint. They need more then a week to investigate that? Bets open almost 7 days voided on a halftime, with result clearly against them? What they have to investigate?! It looks they are just buying time hoping I will give up with my complaint.

My question is, do bookmakers have right to void bets standing many days, not pre-game, but when the match is played and result not in their favor? I think that in this particular case isn't even important if the odds were wrong or not (I don't know and I don't care). They had time to react in time. I have not. Placing new bets on under 2.75 at halftime, with result 0:0 was impossible.

Someone had problems like this one?

P.S. I don't want to publicly mention the bookmaker and the match until they let me know their decision (they are not fair by not giving me any info 8+ days, but I will be fair and not give them a bad promotion until they respond negatively). Right now I just want to see the opinion of other forum members and hopefully administrators/moderators. I will surely make an official complaint if they don't pay me, so better see what other people think.

Your question is rhetorical, of course that's not a moral thing to do. Probably money involved is big and book that did that is small.

It is an asian bookmaker, that allow 4 digit sums on a single event. I would say is one of major asian bookmakers. Winnings are a bit more then 1000 EUR.

If what you have stated is the full story, then of course the bookie is in the wrong.

I've saved the screenshots of my bets, and the screenshots of the private messages stating my bets were void. So I can prove that I've placed bets on Monday and that the bookie void them on Sunday, after the game almost reached halftime (the time of the messages proves that it was way after the match started). I will surely use that screenshots for official complaints (also on SBR) if the bookmaker doesn't pay me.

I don't want to advertise any book, but some of them are moral and profitable simultaneously although very few, unfortunately

You have a point. Maybe I've should simply ask "Can they do that?"

without knowing the odds or the book cant really help!

if the odds were +50000 or something then obviously they were bad lines!

What were other books offering? It might be sloppy to wait a week to catch it, but if the total was a half-ball off, it's a bad total.
