5 Dimes has the WORST 2nd Half Moneylines.....or Do They?

Going through my Transaction History at 5 Dimes...

Here's a few random, but egregious, examples of what I paid for 2nd Half Moneylines


Spread was -8.0 I paid -600
Spread was -8.5 I paid -700
Spread was -8.0 I paid -800!


I know...I know... you 5D groupies out there, who will knee-jerk defend them irrespective of what goes down, will come up with stupid retorts like "Just be happy you are offered the 2H ML!"

But, for the IQ >75 folks out there, are there better 2H ML's available? And, if not, what can we do to encourage books to offer 2H ML's more correctly aligned to the pointspread?

2H MLs are completely different from game MLs... so you can't use your chart to map out MLs odds.

With those odds in your op, I could tell that you played favorite home teams at the half when they were down around 8-10 points. So, your teams did not have to win the game, all they had to do was outscoring opponents in the second half.

It all depends on the score, teams, home and away, public perception, avoiding getting middled.

There is a basic chart, Where it starts changes is when the spread crosses over the zero or comes close to it.
Example: Team A 32 Team b 27 but 2nd half spread is Team B -7, the moneyline on that 7 will be different to a normal 7 that does not cross a number that the game cannot land on. AKA the Tie.

Forgot to mention they will also differ slightly based on the total. Lower the total the more valuable the points become.

You can't really complain because point spreads are sometimes wayyyyy off pending the 1st half......for example a team favored by 8 for the game and is up 8 at halftime really had no buisness being a 2nd half line of -5.5......that's taking tge original line of 8 and making that team a 13.5 fav......and hey it happens and its just the way it goes.Anyone betting 2nd half MLs of -800 are either A.Super Rich or B.Have nooooo idea how to manage your money....why risk 800 to win 100 when anything can happen and you can risk 110 on the spread or total and win that same 100 with WAY less risk.You never know what adjustments teams may make or what player may break his leg foe the 2nd half and your Fu#@ed!!!......No reason to complain about this because professionals and anyone with a brain in there head understands that those ML's are not worth it.......even if it seems sooooook obvious its simply not worth the risk at all.
