There will be a very good reason why the books keep doing this to you and I'm sure you know why. You just wont confess what it is. You're not an arber, so you must be some sort of crook the books are avoiding. Except the books you shill for because you're a stooge.

I have no issue with books banning arbers although most are too stupid to realize betting a weak line means nothing and they will still win long term
All they are doing are betting off lines and not remotely handicapping

I have no idea why you're getting limited, but it might have to do with you betting steam, picking off weak lines or just whicked sharp. Ladbrokes is far from being a discrace and the fact you're upset they limited you proves it.

Please read what I stated in my first response in this thread.
They didn't limit me.
They closed my account before I had a chance to make a bet.
So I wasn't betting steam or picking off weak lines and had no opportunity to be "sharp". Not that that would justify such action anyway.
Yes, they are a disgrace.
Their regulator is looking into the issue on my behalf for whatever good that is likely to do.

You're most probably right but there is such a thing as privacy law.
There's also fair trading law in this country.
I'm intending to test the application of those laws on Ladbrokes and the other corporate cowards.

i neither like or dislike either of you pair, but dink is right, bookies DONT just limit ppl with no bets first up, they may monitor them and ESPECIALLY if they deposit a lot of money (usually over 500 or a grand for most euro books) first up but limit with no bets?
not unless you are linked by your pc or fone or whatever to someone already banned, blocked, restricted etc..

Believe what you want but the fact is that Ladbrokes.com.au opened up in Australia just recently and I opened an account online, deposited $500 and within 2 hours received an "account closure" email before I had even attempted to make a bet. I've referred it to their regulator but am yet to receive any response.
I see that Ladbrokes are advertising here. I challenge them to have a representative come in here and try to deny what I'm saying or to justify their action. If what I'm saying is not true why wouldn't they?
i would like to ask them why they blocked you as well, i suspect you have bet with one of their sister sites or even their site back in the uk and thats where your details are from.
Books dont do what you said based on deposit alone, or big hitters/losers/whales whatever you call them
would NEVER get on. unless by referral

i am going to open an account with a uk book soon, never used em, lads at work swear by them on spread betting issues.
i just want to back some prices that are way way out of line.. 300s when most are 66s general and a couple of 100s etc.
i know they will restrict me, ill also get others to open accounts back home and just put 5 or 10 on etc for me asap.
but they wouldnt if i was to drop 500 with them and want some on a spread bet. they would monitor what i bet for sure, maybe only give me 250 early on or something.. but if they thought i did square bets id get what i like on.

If Ladbrokes subscribes to the "iesnare" service, that is most likely the reason a bettor has an account closed without ever having placed a wager.
Google it for more info. Bodog, SIA, Bet365, and many many other bookmakers use it now.

Actually that's a very good point, EVERYBODY should ensure "iesnare" is off their machines. It's been something I have been aware of for 4-5 years and it's a real rooster_eater, need to be careful and find out the best way to remove it for you. On a side note, the only places to have limited me without placing a bet were paddypower and bet victor (or one of their skins). It's illegal for UK organisations to share data, I suspect in Hareeba's case it may be down to iesnare/cookies/ip as a result of having multiple accounts.

Not quite sure what you're getting at but I have had accounts with almost every online bookie on the planet at some stage but i don't run multiple accounts at any of them. Bonus whoring has never been my thing.

you are limited at bookmaker, this is why you had your account closed straight away, you know this is the reason, no need to play dumb in here to everyone.

I am limited at many books and I've been booted out of others. But never have I been booted out so quickly and without making a bet. Not playing dumb at all. Ladbrokes refused to answer my enquries as to why they took such drastic and unfair (and very likely illegal) action against me.

Trying to get to the reason why it's happened. Like I said, it happened to me too with pp and bv, I don't bonus whore, I know these organisations are not allowed to share data, iesnare is more from a fraud perspective, so I don't know why - no reason to believe you are on a fraud list

It's a kind of industry wide tool that spies on people to pick up things like logging into the same site with different accounts. It's not enough to delete cookies & use a proxy, and deleting the stuff of your pc isn't enough, you have to really shut it down. It's nasty and on most peoples pc's yet they don't know.

Should people who have outs at several books be worried about this iesnare software? I'm talking about a regular joe who shops for the best line, and has zero interest in creating multiple accounts at one book, or anything to do with CC fraud.
would books use this software to identify and ban bettors that are hedging or arbing between two different books? or is it strictly a fraud prevention tool?
