I am aware of how much they make, and I wasnt saying "poor sportsbooks" all I was saying is that it is a business, and whats the point in a business letting people take free money out of their pockets due to a mistake made by one of their employees.
If you owned an electronics website and one of your staff mis-priced something, say a $4000 laptop that someone had accidently mis-priced as $400 and you sold 10 of them at this incorrect price to people who realised your mistake and wanted to take a shot at you - what would you do ? All of a sudden you are $36k out of pocket throught no direct fault of your own and you fire the dumbass who made the mistake, but at the end of the day you are still out of pocket.
Now imagine that someone spotted the mistake before the laptops were actually shipped out - what do you do ?
Would you stop shipments and reverse the transactions, thusly protecting yourself from a dumb mistake from one of your employees or would you ship them out anyway and take the loss ?
