I just wanted to share an almost unbelievable story.
Before reading SBR, I had a long standing account at Sportsbook.com and turned $500 into $2000. Then, about a month ago, I discovered I could place 'If Win' and 'If Action' bets from my cell phone and I could place them on both the money line and the spread;, e.g.,
If Win (Maximum 7 Teams)11/30/08 13:07 ET
bet 200.00 to win 500.00 (paid 700.00)
Result: Net Gain
Event #1
Chiefs(KansasCity) 20 11/30/08(16:20 ET)
Raiders(Oakland) 13 Chiefs(KansasCity) +150
Event #2
Chiefs(KansasCity) 20 11/30/08(16:20 ET)
Raiders(Oakland) 13 Chiefs(KansasCity) +3 (even)
If Win (Maximum 7 Teams)11/30/08 13:06 ET
bet 300.00 to win 338.63
Result: Wager Lost
Event #1
Chiefs(KansasCity) 20 11/30/08(16:20 ET)
Raiders(Oakland) 13 Raiders(Oakland) -0.5 (-185)
Bought 2.5 point(s)
Event #2
Chiefs(KansasCity) 20 11/30/08(16:20 ET)
Raiders(Oakland) 13 Raiders(Oakland) -170
In an effort to keep things low key, I never placed more than a few hundred on any one side, but when you can't lose, its easy to turn $500 into $45,000 in only a month.
I requested two withdrawals of $5000 through '***' that cleared both Sportsbook.com and '***', but have yet to post on my bank. I had a balance of $28,000 and pending withdrawals of approximately $7000 when I logged in to see my account was finally closed. How did it take them so long!? And what happens to the remaining balance?
Apparently my account has been forwarded to the relevant department and I should get an email in 24-48 hours. If anyone is interested in their response if they provide one, I'll keep you informed.
Good luck to all,
Cooler Near The Lake
