    Banned from Sportsbook.com
I just wanted to share an almost unbelievable story.

Before reading SBR, I had a long standing account at Sportsbook.com and turned $500 into $2000. Then, about a month ago, I discovered I could place 'If Win' and 'If Action' bets from my cell phone and I could place them on both the money line and the spread;, e.g.,

    If Win (Maximum 7 Teams)11/30/08 13:07 ET
    bet 200.00 to win 500.00 (paid 700.00)
    Result: Net Gain
    Event #1
    Chiefs(KansasCity) 20 11/30/08(16:20 ET)
    Raiders(Oakland) 13 Chiefs(KansasCity) +150
    Event #2
    Chiefs(KansasCity) 20 11/30/08(16:20 ET)
    Raiders(Oakland) 13 Chiefs(KansasCity) +3 (even)

    If Win (Maximum 7 Teams)11/30/08 13:06 ET
    bet 300.00 to win 338.63
    Result: Wager Lost
    Event #1
    Chiefs(KansasCity) 20 11/30/08(16:20 ET)
    Raiders(Oakland) 13 Raiders(Oakland) -0.5 (-185)
    Bought 2.5 point(s)
    Event #2
    Chiefs(KansasCity) 20 11/30/08(16:20 ET)
    Raiders(Oakland) 13 Raiders(Oakland) -170

In an effort to keep things low key, I never placed more than a few hundred on any one side, but when you can't lose, its easy to turn $500 into $45,000 in only a month.

I requested two withdrawals of $5000 through '***' that cleared both Sportsbook.com and '***', but have yet to post on my bank. I had a balance of $28,000 and pending withdrawals of approximately $7000 when I logged in to see my account was finally closed. How did it take them so long!? And what happens to the remaining balance?

Apparently my account has been forwarded to the relevant department and I should get an email in 24-48 hours. If anyone is interested in their response if they provide one, I'll keep you informed.

    Good luck to all,

    Cooler Near The Lake

Well, like I said, the 10K hasn't posted to my bank, but I have hope since it left Sportsbook.com and made it to the hands of a 3rd party processing center.

Obviously, being banned from them is no loss, except for the balance they allowed me to accumulate, risk free.

Take a look at the example. Chiefs +150 and Chiefs +3, If Win bet at $200 to win $500 means if the Chiefs Win, you win $500, but if they lose, you only lose only $200. Now bet the other side and buy 2.5 points and you can't lose. It's a flaw in their system and you can't do it from a web browser, only a cell phone.

You definately caught a glitch no doubt about it but I think you should have bet the other side somewhere else and not posted it on a public forum... Even still I am impressed by the honesty although you do admit you do know it's a glitch and are trying to cash in on it... Good luck...

That is ridiculous JJ... Why a glitch like that..? Why not make a glitch more available then just phone IF bettors..? It's new and as with all new things (like Vista) there are glitches... Sh*t SBR should know they have glitches all the time..

I'm just sharing for your amusement. Not only that, the only reason money was left in the account is because when I tried to cash out before the glitch was discovered, they started the slow-pay process and canceled my request to get additional copies of paperwork they had on file for deposits that didn't require the paperwork.

If they played fair, they would pay the winners without unnecessary delay and not stiff the big winners as is their reputation of late.

You're probably correct, but I doubted I would get paid from this site anyways and I didn't want to place unwanted wagers from a reputable site and lose real money.

As for posting it...I probably shouldn't have, but the glitch has already been discovered and I know there is enough ill will toward Sportsbook.com on this site for some who have been stiffed by them to enjoy the thread.

Actually, they've always paid me, too. Its the US Gov't that is hurting the reputation of most of the Sportsbooks. Pinnacle was brilliant to save their reputation on the forums by not allowing US players.

All I really want is the 2K I made the hard way...grinding it out.

Now where to go? I was thinking WSEX and Matchbook if I can just get funds into their site.

I dont know about WSEX. Sportsbook.com has been paying me alot quicker than them. However I requested my payouts from WSEX by regular mail. Im still waiting on one that is supposed to paid courier mail, so we'll see how quick that is.

I wish you the best of luck in getting paid, and congratulate you in finding a glitch in their software.

I am very reluctant to defend Sportsbook.com... They have robbed players of millions of dollars. So rather than defend them, I'll talk in hypothetical terms about a legitimate book that doesn't rob players.

When a wager has a 100% correlation (i.e. playing dog +3 parlayed to dog +150 on ML in same game), it is obvious that this is a mistake. Your payout on the dog ML is almost double what it should be. You can argue bad line, software glitch or whatever... but it's clear the book screwed up and gave away money in an unintended manner.

If a player systematically did this and beat a book out of a lot of money, I'd say the book has a defense (unless they knew about it, and allowed it too long).

In Sportsbook.com's case though, they blatantly steal from players. If you pulled this off and got away with it, more power to you!

my payments with sportbooks always take quite a while and its always quite frustrating. But no issues with not being paid. Good luck mate!
