    OddsMaker Bounced Checks
Hey guys, has anyone ever had this situation before? On October 31, 2008 I requested two withdrawals checks totalling at $900.00. Then by the end of November I received them both. So the next day I deposited both checks and expected everything to go through. Then just last week, I looked at my bank statement and noticed that there were two returned checks from oddsmaker. So today I called their customer service number, emailed them, called another number they said was in charge of the check processings and got no reply. Basically the number they provided me was an answering machine(I called like 20 times). So I left several messages with detailed information regarding my matter plus my number. So till now, I still haven't gotten a reply as to what the situation is.

So my question now is, is there anything to worry about or its normal? I'm kinda lost right now because this has never happened to me. Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed.

    Thanks.

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum

Processing issues of this type of nature are starting to become more common nowadays, unfortunately. You are more than welcome to fill out a complaint form and one of us will inquire to OddsMaker on your behalf in order to find out the current status of your situation.

So are you telling me that even after meeting the terms of this promotion I will have to deal with a bounced checked?

"Free $100 money cannot be played on Poker but you can play all our Casino Games. In Sportsbook, No Parlays and Teasers only straight wagers are permitted when wagering under this promotion. The Bonus money must be wagered 10 times and the account balance must be brought up to a minimum of $1500. Only the winnings above $1500 can be withdrawn. The maximum amount that you can withdraw is $1000. The promotion concludes once a withdrawal is requested, the remaining balance will then be removed from your account during the withdrawal process. This offer cannot be combined with any deposits or other promotional offers. Once you have concluded with this promotion, you are still eligible to claim initial deposit bonuses!"

Heres an update guys. Today I called the check processing department and finally someone picked up. He told me the reason for the bounced checks was because someone was writing fake checks out and the account had to be closed.

He also told me that 2 new checks are being sent out from a US bank account and will arrive next week. So hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Anybody who asks for a check deserves for them to bounce and get stiffed.

The only reason somebody would take a check is because they are a tight phuck and dont want to pay fees.

r u ok? Checks arent free plus thats basically the only type of withdrawal they offer.

                                  Update:

Their cashier department number dont work no more( voicemail all the time) and its been almost a month.

                                    Oddsmaker.com inactivated my account

After recieving two bounced checks from oddsmaker.com and being under investigation with my bank, I threatened to dispute my deposits with my credit card company for failure to pay. Oddsmaker instantly inacctivated my accout so I went ahead with filling the dispute. I will now have the pleasures of dealing with a credit card company. Has anyone else ever diputed deposits to a sportsbook?

It took me 28 days to get a check. I stayed on top of them and told them I was hoping to have good news to report to sportsbookreview.com about them. They sent me a check it was from a German bank out of NYC I read stories about bad checks from them but was shocked when mine cleared. I would tell them in an email you are an SBR member it does carry clout

You know LT is not going to play .... I know Pitt has a poor offense and all. However this is the steel curtain we are talking about. I disagree, well for now anyway. San Diego I am convinced is far from the Giants of 07' 08'.

I have been reading this thread and one thing mentioned was dont get checks. From what I have experienced in my 9 years of dealing with numerous sportsbooks. All forms of Withdrawals charge fees. Its the deposits you get free and I might add bonuses, So in short if you play into your 3x rollover or whatnot, this pays for withdrawal fees. Now I hear from some sites that it depends on how you deposit your money Credit Card, Western Union, Pepaid ATM Etc. determines what Withdrawal methods you must use. In my recent case and I must say its my first Real Withdrawal Problem, I was told I can only receive a check from UPS because I deposited with a Debit Card. My Mistake here, It is important to ask as many questions as possible when joining a new site. I have been waiting since Nov 16th on mine. Thats step one then I have to worry about your Problem. LORD HELP ME !!!! I do believe the real reason for these delayed payouts is the fact that for whatever reason the Bookmakers got creamed this year, we are on a list and getting payed out on a first come first serve basis. Hey they will go under if they dont pace themselves. One last thing mentioned, Do use SBR Forum in your emails it will move you up the list. Sites receive many customers through sites just like this one that rates there services.

Through all of this I do have to compliment oddsmaker.com for their quick responses to emails. I emailed the cashier yesterday and had a response in a hour. I have since cancelled my disputes and hopefully as the cashier told me will recieve a check soon. I understand that processing issues are a problem in this industry and hope to receive a check. Oddsmaker.com currently does not allow bank tranfers, so checks withdrawals are pretty much the way to go.

I recieved 2k from a $100 freeplay from them two years ago. The payout took about 3 weeks, and 7 days for my bank to clear the check.
