I've used thegreek off and on for a few years. Never had much In the account so I never withdrew any money. Anyways I got on a hot streak earlier this month and made 7k. So now I want to make a withdrawal. I funded with echeck so thought it would be easiest to use that method for withdrawing. Then they tell me to send them photo id with my address. Clearly a stall tactic on their part but whatever. The problem is the address I gave them when I opened my account had changed a few years ago. So they want me to send my current address ID and an old bill with my previous address on it. How do they expect me to keep old bills from years ago. Am I boned?

#3A lot of people are not going to believe you, but I do. I used the Greek some years ago. It has been so long that I forgot my password. I can not log in now. I sent a email and I also called them to try to get the info, but they dont have it or will not give it to me. They say I am not using the same email address as I signed up with. I mean this was like 4 or 5 years ago. I change email addresses quite often. The Greek customer service wise is a D at best. Finally, its there loss. I just want deposit or use them anymore.Comment -

#5if the address on the echeck matches your current address and you provide a bank statement that matches your current address, you should'nt have a problemComment -

#6The address I've been giving them when I use echeck is my new one and they never hassled me about it of course until it was time to withdraw. Might see if I can request an old electric bill from 3 years ago. What a pain in the ass.Comment -

#7In their defense, do you want them to be willy-nilly with your $? It is a PITA, but as long as you have proof, it isn't a bid deal.Comment -

#13It does seem like a hassle I went through the same situation but trust me it's worth the peace of mind that comes with playing with them. It's inconvenient but it's a one time thing only, once you get them the documentation you'll get the fastest payouts in the industry.Comment -

#16What the Greek's doing is normal at all books when your depositing via CC or Debit. Depositing by ** or ** will probably give you less hassle and no documentation require.
The lastest stalling tactic that books usually put on people when requesting payouts is the Faxed required documents not being clear enough to read, and them forcing you to send it in several more times. It's probably better to do a scan and e-mail it instead.Comment -

#19Got this today from them when i requested a payout. I used my credit card one time to deposit $100. Anything they can do to put this off.
"Dear Mr.,
We sincerely apologize for you not being previously informed, however you
need to submit the following documents as well for withdrawal processing:
A copy back and front of the card you used to make your deposit
A recent statement for the card
A completed copy of a credit card authorization form which can be found on
the website at www.thegreek.com/ccauthorize.htm.
You may submit these documents by fax to 1-800-310-8304 or scan and e-mail
to accounts@thegreek.com.
Also, please submit the last four digits of your checking account.

#21Space Monkey, as far as I can tell this is standard in the industry.....I don't know how I can reassure you anymore than others have already tried in this thread, but you will get paid. There are many, many crap books out there who will stall and slow pay; The Greek is definitely not one of them.Comment -
