betfair fixed stories
betfair fixed odds betting history :
issues:
- font size: 7 i have never seen such small font size in any bookmakers ( of corse i know Ctrl + )
- there is no handicap & total values saved/showed is history if you bet on these markets
- they settle winning bets "at the ‘correct price’." without any notice , you have to divide the payout with the odds to get the "correct price" that you have never seen, that you have never accepted
"1. Errors in respect of bets placed on ‘Fixed Odds’ and ‘Multiples’ products
o Betfair makes every effort to ensure that it does not make any errors when accepting bets. However, if as a result of technical or system problems or human error, a bet is accepted either on Betfair’s Fixed Odds or on Betfair’s Multiples products that is at odds (which includes handicap provisions or similar) and/or is on terms that are either:
(a) materially different from those available in the general betting market at the time the bet was made; or
(b) clearly incorrect given the chance of the event occurring at the time the bet was made; then
all bets will stand and Betfair will settle winning bets at the ‘correct price’.
o To establish the ‘correct price’, Betfair will consider prices available in the general betting market at the time the bet was made, including the prices offered by other major betting operators. "
1. issue
my bet : Chicago - Sacramento -3.5 first half handicap (there is no trace of handicap value in the history as i mentioned above)
(of course on the exhange market the handicap value is the same )
1st reply :
"Our Sportsbook team have confirmed that bet is a losing bet, you were on Chicago -4.5 (first half). The half time score was Chicago 44-40 Sacramento."
after my next email , in which i said that i have odds history, etc. and mentioned that i would make complaint to sbr, bookmakersreview.com and ibas, they changed their mind
(from this i always make screenshots of my fixed odds betfair bets, to save handicap/total values too)
you cant prove the handicap/total values that you bet on (screenshot can be manipulated easily, the page before the screenshot)
2nd:
"I have spoken to our Sportsbook team and again and they have confirmed there was a technical error with this market. Your bet should of in fact be settled as a winning bet.
They have re-settled this and the funds will show in your account."
2. issue
Randers Cimbria Basketball vs Horsens IC : Total Points
my bet was over 174.5 , and total points was 175 , only 0.5 difference ( in the first issue, the difference 1 , only 0.5 and 1 point to betfair win the bet and i lose it, what a suprise, could it be only accidentally)
first time they settle my bet lost , after my email :
"Market operations have apologised for an error on their part and have resettled the market."
3. issue
they successively swap prices on fixed odds markets (at least 1 per day )
but they do not notice it, do not change/swap it back ( i can notice it, but BETFAIR cant, lol)
there is no other Bookmaker in the market with such rule : "all bets will stand and Betfair will settle winning bets at the ‘correct price’. , To establish the ‘correct price’, Betfair will consider prices available in the general betting market at the time the bet was made, including the prices offered by other major betting operators."
so betfair make errors and after it (after the match ended) , they connect to internet get the "correct price" and settle your bet accordingly
"Please be advised that the market was incorrectly set up and therefore we have settled at the correct price. This rule is listed in our terms and conditions and we have it for this exact circumstance. We will have to exercise this rule if there is an error made on odds given via the fixed odds product.
Many other bookmakers also have a similar rule that would cover them for a genuine error. "
in history there is no trace the correct price , you should divide to get the "correct price"
your bet will be settled, although you do not know the new price, so you should always check "the general betting market " that the betfair price is correct or not , if you bet on betfair fixed?
is this normal ? i think this responsibiliy is not mine, rather then betfair, I think they should check the general betting market before the match begins, and not after, and void these kind of bets
so all of the below bets should be voided, but not at betfair
so if you bet at betfair fixed check your settled bets again, perhaps you will find some
sorry for my bad english
