JOHON I think you overrate the defense of WBA, conceeded 71 goals last season. Sure, Hodgson is a more defensive minded coach than Di Matteo and it takes time to make your mark in a new club, but as you could see against United they still play very open and make mistakes at the back. You have to assume they have not changed so much until proven otherwise.

Roy Hodgson Fulham side was much stronger defensively and had a terrible away record. I think Hangeland and Hughes form a very good center back pair. West brom has kept one clean sheet under Hodgson and as much as Chelsea have struggled, they are a way different home side.

doesn't really matter if WBA get another goal or two before then (which looks extremely possible)

most of the time Chelsea's defence let players through, or pass the ball directly to them

Chelsea arent playing fast, no movement and creativity, players like Anelka and Malouda (not playing) are only interested when they get the ball and dont make any runs to create space for teamates etc. And Lampard seems over the hill, some new players like Mata and Modric would do them good. They already have some very promising youngsters in Sturridge, McEachran and Lukaku who could do well for them. Sturridge has already proven himself to be useful at PL level in Bolton last season. IMO they have to many attacking players that are alike, they need more wing type players like Mata.

2.5 are amazing odds for WBA, but Chelsea could always get that lucky draw

really don't think they will win though, not if they keep trying silly crosses hoping to pick out one player between 7-8 WBA players
