Why Arsenal and Chelsea can still win the EPL

Got this off from another site, pretty interesting. Anyone who thinks United bagged the title already is wrong.

6 points is a good lead for United, but they also got 2 games vs Schalke and a possible CL final to worry about.

So the question is who do you trust to catch up with United, Chelsea or Arsenal? Once you make that decision there is value in taking them IMO.

He's a Man Utd fan, afaik.

I do think they'll win against Arsenal. And if Man Utd slip up, I expect Chelsea to catch-up. Arsenal are bottlers.

That's what I'm thinking... Arsenal has blown 100 leads this year, they could be top of the table with like a 10 point cushion if they weren't so soft. This would sound crazy a month ago but Chelsea looks like they are back in the title race.

Chealsea is gaining good form, but they do not deserve the title this year and neither doesn't Arsenal.

I don't think United will lose to both Chelsea and Arsenal! I mean, what have Arsenal done of late that you think makes them good enough to beat United?!? Plus Chelsea will drop points if they continue to play an out-of-form Torres.

Chelsea and Arsenal should pick up maximum points from their other games (Bolton, Stoke and Fulham away games where they have nothing to play for). Spurs could potentially be a banana skin for Chelsea. United have a tough one this weekend against one of the most in-form sides in the league - I'm not saying 3 points is a guarantee, far from it - but if United win that they'll win the league in my opinion. If they drop points then I can certainly vouch for both Chelsea and Arsenal winning the league.

Even if United lose to both Chelsea and Arsenal, you've got to bank on either Chelsea or Arsenal to run the table. Tough ask there. Everton always play well against Chelsea and it's at Goodison. Arsenal are likely to drop some points on one of their away fixtures.

It goes to show just how inconsistent the top teams have been this season when Chelsea (who went into complete meltdown for half a season after they got thrashed by Sunderland at home) can conceivably still win the league with 5 games to go.

Although I can't see Man Utd losing to BOTH Chelsea and Arsenal, it would be an amazing end to the season if that did occur along with Chelsea and Arsenal winning all their games going into the last day of the season. The potential for a 3-way tie at the top, with the league being decided on goal difference would make for an amazing finale that could evn eclipse 1989.

However, given the way the rest of the season has gone, it is more likely that the remainder will be just as bad and Man Utd will end up rolling to the title again.

Arsenal are definitely outsiders now with a HUGE mental blow last night vs. Spuds. It's only 6 points, but this is Arsenal, winning out is hardly a formality.

ManU will go up against both these team knowing all they need to do is draw to push them out -- Going against ManU when all they want to do is draw is quite a challenge.

And even if they can catch them in points, Manu finishes against Blackpool, who plays that wide open style than ManU can roll up a 4-1 win and stretch the GD too far.

If anything it makes the 4 points Arsenal seemingly frittered away the last two games even more painful

Have you been watching these bottlers? They have drawn 5 of last 6 games. They are so emotionally fragile it is shocking. No lead is safe with them at the moment.

Chelsea is possible, but Manchester United is not 1/10 favorites for nothing. For them to be caught they will have to lose one if not both of the remaining games vs these teams. Its not going to happen. The Chelsea game is at OT and United are very strong there. Arsenal well we already covered them.

The key game for Manchester United in the League is this weekend vs Everton. If Untied win this game it is almost a certainty they will win the title for the 19th time.

Man U started slow, but is closing strong. Chelsea started fast and then turned into a punching bag for their opponents. I don't even understand how Chelsea is still being consider for the top spot in the premier league. After the way they've played this season I wouldn't bet on them to win a coin flip with a double sided coin.

                                                  Possible, but highly unlikely.

I would love to see Arsenal win it as I think they play the most attractive football. Problem being they bottle it at every opportunity and i'm 90% sure they will not win all their remaining games. they have failed to capitalize on every Man U slip up.

Man U will get at least a point out of the Chelsea and Arsenal games. Arsenal will bottle regardless.
