#4Brum have a string of injuries (Ferguson, Gardner, Hleb and Zigic will be a game-time decision)...Jiranek and Ridgewell have been ruled fit, but there will definitely be some walking wounded in their back 4. Brum may also be looking ahead to their Saturday FA quarter-final match. After winning the Carling Cup, they've hit a bit of the doldrums and find themselves in a relegation battle, so you know they should be playing desperate although I don't know if that will equate to results.
With the Toffees, you never know what to expect with them this season...they have played well against the bigger clubs, but have struggled against the bottom dwellers at Goodison. They've hit a bit of form though and have won 3 of their last 4 league matches and Brum have not had much success at Goodison and they don't travel well. I also wonder how many Brum fans will make the long trip on a Wednesday night as this is a makeup game from Boxing Day. A win for the Toffees will lift them to 8th and give them a bit of breathing space from the drop. I'll say based on situation, Everton comes away with a narrow victory, but I wouldn't be shocked if this game drew.

Everton should be priced 4/6 - 4/5 but heavy money will go on the home side tonightComment -

#7I like Everton to win this but at that price theres no way I would touch it on a team that is only 5-5-2 at home and has only won 1 of its last 6 home games, despite Brum only being 2-5-5 away.
Probably a home win but I would rather take the under 2.5.

#8Depends on the team selection. If McLeish rests players for FA Cup at weekend then I'll take EvertonComment -

#9Who can he really rest though? He's only got 5 regular midfielders to choose from this game....Beausejour, Larsson, Fahey, Bowyer and Bentley. At least they should have their regular back 4 in place (Carr, Jiranek, Johnson and Ridgewell). And with Zigic probably on the bench the choice of either Martins or Jerome up front assuming AM goes 4-5-1. Although they don't have much success playing Jerome or Martins alone.Comment -

#10why not take the plus 1 on the away side and most likely get a worst case scenario push. I feel there is less risk in taking the handicap then there is with that must win scenario on a team that hasn't been impressive to say the least. Away side is starving for points too, otherwise they get relegated most likely. I wouldn't throw rocks at the hungry lion no matter how wounded he looks.Comment -

#18You can never be profitable in the long run by playing odds like 1.55 on a game like that. It is a dumb play for me.Comment
