Werder Bremen seems a solid play, and they should be keen to get their season started on the right foot. I think there is surely some value there...gl whatever you decide though

Tough laying goals in these euro games when the road team is trying to tie.

I wouldn't take Basel over either. I have seen Sheriff a couple of times in the Europe League last season and they were doing a pretty good job in defense. They are a tough nut to crack at the back, but they lack quality in attack.

Werder is my team and to be honest I don't like the odds on Werder today.
Bremen is missing key players (Naldo injured + Özil to play for Real) and the defense doesn't look solid.
I still think Werder will win but I won't bet on it with those odds.

                      -------------------Wiese------------------
                      -Fritz--Mertesacker---Prödl---Pasanen-
                      -----------Frings-----Bargfrede----------
                      -----Borowski--------------Hunt---------
                      ----------Pizarro---Almeida--------------

Werder will start with Borowski instead of Marin to build a better defense. Marin should play
                      from the 65th minute on.

Key players missing: Naldo (injured) ¡ big factor!

I see a Werder Bremen win, but the value in those ML -130 odds aren't looking tasty to me

Basel played awful in their last games, but this can be, because they rested for this game.

I saw them both games against Debrecen (which was in the CL group stage last year after beating the swedish and bulgarian champion), and they were very convincing with 2 easy wins....while Sheriff beat a very very weak Dinamo, with luck.
My guess is Basel -1.5, I like it more than the over, as I am not sure that the visitors will score...

Werder is a good play. German team is so far ahead in terms of fitness and match readiness.

Well I really do like them a lot today. They usually come out strong in important matches. But Naldo missing is a big factor. The key players will be Hunt and Borowski today (Marin if he'll start, I doubt it). If they show up today Werder should win this by 2 goals. Genua is a strong team but they didn't play too well in the friendlies. Not really sure what to expect from them today.
I'd say Werder to win 4 out of 5 on your scale.
No way they lose, worst outcome a 2-2 draw imo. Werder will qualify w/o a doubt imo. So a good betting advise would be to take Werder today and if they don't win play them to qualify after the match at great odds.

I am not betting this personally, too much of a Werder fan. I want to sweat the game today, not the money.

Side note: Hunt and Borowski should better show up today. Werder will get 1 or 2 new players (Wesley/Santos, Ben Arfa/Marseille) so this is their chance to prove they can fill the hole Özil left.

Red Bull look to me like the best home favorite of the day, value-wise. I also like Anderletch PK as I hardly see them losing. The Over in the Bremen game looks good.
