I have to say Ghana were very unlucky, the Black Stars put up a heroic performance, it is cruel to lose on penalties but its the most respectful way to go. There is nobody that can say Ghana was not equal to or even in some parts of the game the better team, they won alot of respect and raised the bar for African football.

I would normally agree EP, but taking Uruguay to win the cup is absurd. Even if they get to the finals there's no point to put money on them because they will not win. I only advocate doing hedges like this when there is a chance that the future for the team you are taking has a shot.

Even if they get to the finals there's no point to put money on them because they will not win.

If you take any team or player to win a tournament and they get to the final. You can make money if you swallow your pride and don't just ride the future out. If Uruguay is in the final say ... against everyone's current lust [Argentina] and say Argentina is a -220 favorite just for sake of argument to win in 120 minutes + PKs. I have one unit on Uruguay to make 11.75 if they win. You could take Argentina to win four units [8.8 risk] and either wind up +3 units if Argentina wins [+4 on the bet minus the one unit on Uruguay future] or +3.75 if Uruguay wins. Tell me how that would be absurd?
