I wonder how much Ghana was paid to lose this match. Missed penalty at the end of ET and then 2 of the poorest kicks you will ever see in the World Cup during penalties. My grandmother could have kicked it harder than those 2 that Uruguay's GK saved.

seriously, before you say anything like this and sounds like a loser, you might want to imagine become a professional player, represent your country in world cup, play at full-seated stadium with all the noisy sounds, then you need to take one kick that will determine your country's fate. Maybe, at that time, you will know the pressure.

To say fixed matches in world cup, especially in this knockout stage, is just too much.

First of all, the original comment was half-facetious (look it up in the dictionary).

Secondly, I didn't have any money on Uruguay or Ghana other than my 1H bet, so I couldn't care less who won at the end.

Thirdly, I understand all about pressure. And sure, maybe the pressure got to both guys.

But even the announcers said those were very weak attempts. At least admit that.

It wasn't fixed but those were horseshit kicks. Mensah taking one step and kicking??? Who the hell does that bullshit. Why would you take one step on a penalty? Make the goalie guess and give him time to make a move. That was embarrassing. Ghana took a dump in the end.

similar thing happened to croatia in euro 2008 and they lost the shootout

i was going to put 2000 on uruguay to win the shoot out but my poli deposit took too long

Yes, that is my main point. I'm 99% sure that there was no fixing involved, it's just when you see a missed penalty followed by 2 girlie kicks there's that 1% in your mind that is saying "WTF just happened?". That's all.

I feel bad for Ghana and all the Africans cheering them on. They deserved to win.
