Im amazed of how brazil played vs Chile. They simply were perfect in each and every aspect of the game. Every single player did what they were suppose to do at their best. Starting from Julio Cesar, imo best goalkeeper in the world, who didn't had much action but was there to transmit confidence to their defensive line and also had some few worthy saves.
Lucio and Juan, both experience, class and power. Juan played one of his best games yet since he first played with Brazil scoring a very impressive goal and doing an impecable job cutting those long crosses from Chile. Lucio also did a very solid job guarding suazo, he only escape once with an impressive move but no biggie cause Julio Cesar was there. Bastos played his best game of this WC for sure, solid on defense, great on offense, had a great chance at the end of the game. And Maicon, hes just scary, thats it, hes a train that cant be stopped, his offensive repertoire is endless and his defensive skills are equally good. Whats most impressive about it, is that each and every1 had their part on the offensive end including both one goal and assist in the first goal.
Gilberto Silva does great when he plays next to a bulldozer like Ramirez (hes out for next game) and when Dani Alves is in front of Maicon clearing the runway for him. Again every1 had great chances of scoring a goal or assisting one. Gilberto silva´s and Dani Alves stinger shots and Ramirez with a great personal play to assist Robinho in the 3rd goal.
Luis Fabiano is just a deadly striker, he knows how to score a goal and he can be a top contender for most goals scored this WC. Kaka gives away constant reminders that hes coming back to his greates level and with a great pass, luis fabiano could score the second goal. Robinho both creative and deadly is the edge that gives Brazil their explosiveness and thats whats make them great when they counter attack.
Im not saying they are unstoppable or unbeatable. Im just saying that if they keep up playing at this level, itll take a great deal of work to beat them. Now we have a great quarterfinals game and im certain that itll be an incredible match against the dutch.
