The real black fanbase here is probably the huge African population (folks originally from Africa such as Nigerians, folks from Ghana, etc.) in big cities such as NYC, Chicago, ATL, Houston, etc. that watch soccer. I was in a taxicab in Chicago the other day and talking soccer with a cabdriver from Ghana. Those folks clearly love their soccer. As far as the very urban AA types, I'll bet that they stick moreso to the NFL & NBA if they're into sports.
