There is a BIG difference between football and american sports. Thats why average joe americans will never understand why World cup is so big. Footballplayers proudly represent their country and everything what it stand for. In american sports you represent yourself and the money you can make of it.

i can name 100's of players that play futbol for money and money only. i can also name 100's of players that LOVE to represent their country in their "american" sport...be it hockey, basketball, baseball or whatever. IT GOES BOTH WAYS.

Why do you mix sports with your own percepttion of politics? It should be about making money rather than your biased views of countries. Anyway, you're off-base saying european players stand behind their governments. Maybe North-Koreans do.

I see no reason to call Denmark a racist country. I'm from Finland, have visited Denmark twice in the past 10 years. Always enjoyed the food and laid-back atmosphere.

In american sports for instance Baseball and basketball I still havent seen any player giving everything for their country. If there was a World cup in your number 1 sport baseball the Cubans and the Dominicans would crush you. I doubt your best guys would show up because theere wouldnt be any money in it.

We're not racist! In order for our crappy government to stay in power they unfortunately need the danish people's party who undoubtedly are very racist. So instead of racist I would call them tough on immigration.
The people of Denmark are generally pretty open minded, friendly and easy going so stop with the trashtalk.

And what a win huh! Great call on the result. We've heard nothing but injuries injuries injuries from the danish team so far so it was great to get a win and stay in it. We still need to beat japan though.
