#40He did not fall awkwardly into the ground - then crying like a baby - you'd think given the look on his face he was seriously injured. But no he is quickly back up and feeling great, not even stretching his back or anything.
Seems how soccer players deal with their errors. Fall on the ground and blame it on getting injured.
Imagine baseball players doing that after they make a fielding error..... never seen it in my life.
Ok.

#45Whats all this pussy talk, football is one of the toughest physical games to play.
All this talk about who is hard and soft is just funny, come to one of our games and give it the big talk, then we'll see who is a pussy
I guarantee you would sh*t yourself and cry like a little girl
Imagine these guys getting Glasgow kiss, a Millwall brick or a Chelsea grin and that's just from England, you'd get eaten alive in Eastern Europe, Russia, Latin America, Greece, Turkey... you'd need counselling after
And the rest of you change the subject from toughness to most skilled/ most fit. That is a different story.Comment -

#50This is at least the second time you've claimed soccer players are tough because the people in the crowd are. Again - if the toughest guys in the world went to the ballet, would that make ballet the sport with the toughest participants? And the rest of you change the subject from toughness to most skilled/ most fit. That is a different story.

Not even worth getting into it though. This is an internet forum, lots of jokers. Best thing to do is to ignore them.
Most of us know well and clear this kind of talk only happens on the internet. You guys are entertaining, to say the least.Comment -

This ploy, complete failure.
MLS, failure. Americans just don't care, for the most part.
Also, I would love for it to be big, another sport for me to follow.Comment -

#56Of course, why? It costs basically nothing, no contact so little Timmy doesn't get banged up, leads to the kid wanting to venture to Hockey, Football, even baseball. You're argument has no validity behind it.Comment -

#58Yeah, I've seen many of those in baseball. Always wondered how they could make a sports team. And when they "run" from base to base, it looks like they're walking. And no, this wasn't a homerun.Comment -

Answer me this, why on earth would you WANT little Timmy to get banged up in the first place? What the hell is wrong with you people, is that your idea of fun? Watching your kid get knocked around and getting concussions every game, broken bones, bruises...you people are absolutely sick in the head! No wonder there's so much violence in this country, you breed it!Comment -

Players are "tough" is a pointless argument, what is "tough", this isn't a combat sport, the only "tough" sports in that context are boxing and martial arts.
Soccer is a tough game to play both mentally and physically, they are some of the most physically tough players in sports based around a ball, they need pace, endurance, strength, balance, running up and down that pitch for 90 minutes is "tough", there are no time outs, advertisement breaks, foul replay breaks....Comment -

The youth are starting to get the sport and its global appeal, the Hispanics especially from Mexico and Latin America couldn't give a sh*t about Major US sports, there is only one game and that's soccer.
The soccer market is too big and lucrative, its just a matter of time before it takes over there aswell.
The appeal for the game is unmatched, supporters have a say in their club and are taken seriously, there is real passion, competition, the culture and tradition, there are so many reasons its the biggest sport in the world and when you guys get it you will realize that your major leagues and teams are taking you for mugs.Comment -

#66Come on you yanks, we all know what this is about.
Jealousy is a sin. Enjoy the games, boys, or not.... no one really cares.
Oh, and I played both soccer and hockey when I was young. Hockey comes really physical only at about 13-14 year olds and up. The paddings are huge, your only big worry is a concussion. You get a lot more injuries in soccer.Comment -
