France hosted the world cup just a few years ago, it would have been great to have a competition Turkey which would have been a first. If Turkish football carries on developing at a fast rate there will be a major competition there soon. The Europa and Champions League finals being held in Turkey was a success. The infrastructure and stadiums outside Istanbul could still improve though.

Top nomination for dumbest post of the day. In that game, the teams own announcer told the crowd a lie, they thought they had won the league only to find out they had lost it, they burnt their seats big deal get over it.

There are ultras all across the world of football, these are passionate supporters not a bunch of soft prawn cocktail fans* who treat going to a game like going to the theater. The passion, die hard support and loyalty to the team has a long tradition in football, if you can't stomach that find another sport.

You think Turkey is the only country in which there is crowd trouble? it happens everywhere, including France.
