Tierry Henry to MLS

Rumors say that Thierry Henry is about to sign with the New York Red Bull. I think he could have a bigger impact than Becks. Not in terms of marketability...but in terms of on the field impact and performance, I think Henry could be a force and surely this only helps the MLS, no?!?

I think if he tries, he will have a larger impact than Becks .. It could help the MLS, the only problem is people knew who Beckham was even if they weren't really soccer fans .. i don't think too many Americans know who Henry is and when they read it they will read it as "Hen-ree" for sure ... We'll have to see what happens.

Didn;t he appear in that Gilette comercial, with Tiger Woods and Roger Federer ? He should be known there, and I think he will have an important impact on NY Red Bulls and the whole MLS.
I've heard that Del Pierro will sign a contract with a team from MLS....

I hate to say it but I kind of agree with calahan. Henry has lost the pace that made him so deadly. He's not really a target man, so with out the pace he becomes a bit limited.

Such a shame seeing Henry flopping in Barcelona. He was once a truly spectacular soccer player. Watching him dominate EPL with his Gunners team was amazing and entertaining.

Hopefully if he does go to MLS he can once again tear it up on the field and show what he's capable of doing.

Having said that, it would also be a shame see him going to a pittyful league that is MLS - he's too good for this level of soccer and deserves to end his career at a high class team somewhere in europe.

Say what you want about the person, but they are smart MFs to steal money from MLS clubs willing to give it out. MLS is also smart because let's face it, MLS still lacks star quality. Henry may not play like a star, but his name makes him one in MLS.
