Parlay that is postponed in time

I am sure some of you already know that and have a name for this system play. I wasn't sure how to name it and decided to go with "Postponed Parlay".
However some people might not even think about it and this article is addressed to all of you.

Playing a parlay combining a few events we want to get the bigger odds possible by adding more games to the ticket. But it happens very often that besides one or two events at the moment there is nothing to play. Then either we give up and do not post the plays or we play it with bigger ammount of money.
Therefore my proposition is to play this kind of parlay but postponed in time. I am more than welcome to explain what I mean by the word "postponed".

Before we start playing we have to set up the strict rules of our parlay betting. We define for how much money we can bet on the whole thing and how much we want to win. In our example we assume that we are going to bet $20 to win about $250. That is my goal in the following example but one can set bigger goal by playing $50 or 7 team parlay.

Normally Parlay is the product obtained by multiplaying one odd by another. I am going to use 5 team parlay as an example:
5 team Parlay
Play 1 - MIN TWINS ML @ -150 (MLB)
Play 2 - NY YANKEES Over 10 @ Evens (MLB)
Play 3 - MANCHESTER UNITED ML @ -450 (SOCCER, EPL)
Play 4 - NY JETS ML @ -130 (NFL)
Play 5 - ROGER FEDERER to win @ Evens (TENNIS)

1 Parlay of 5 Teams X $20 = $288.40



Same with decimal odds (most familiar to Europpeans)
5 team Parlay
Play 1 - MIN TWINS ML @ 1.67 (MLB)
Play 2 - NY YANKEES Over 10 @ 2.0 (MLB)
Play 3 - MANCHESTER UNITED ML @ 1.22 (SOCCER, EPL)
Play 4 - NY JETS ML @ 1.77 (NFL)
Play 5 - ROGER FEDERER to win @ 2.0 (TENNIS)

Acca = 14.42 (1.67*2*1.22*1.77*2 = 14.42)
14.22*20 = $288.40



Today I found couple of plays for my parlay because it is weekend but let's assume (of course purely hypothetically) that we found only one play we are confident about and want to play it @ -150 (1.67 decimal). So we bet our initial $20 on this event @ -150 to win $13.40 (Play 1). Once we hit this one, we have altogether $33.40 in our account. Next day or in two days we see another play that we like @ evens (2.0 decimal) odds. This is our Play 2 and we back it for $30 (our initial stake + winnings from the Play 1). When Play 2 ends with the positive outcome we have $66.80 to play on another events. Then another day we think Manchester United will win against Newcastle playing at Old Trafford. The odds are very small but good for our parlay (Play 3). We stake all the winnings from the previous plays which are $66.80 @ -450 (1.22 decimal) to win $14.70. After winning this one we have $81.50 in our account. Next time we sure about Jets winning their game and we play $81.50 on them @ -130 (1.77 decimal) to win $62.70. When it hits we got $144.20. Last of our plays is on Federer (Play 5) @ evens (2.0). We bet the whole ammount we won from initial $20. So we put $144.20 @ evens to win $144.20. After Federer thrashed his opponent we have $288.40 which is exactly the same as if we play our 5 team parlay at the beginning.

You probably ask where did I find those odds on Federer. Betcris has him @evens vs Murray. However it doesn't matter if it's Federer or any other tennis player or even baseball game. It is just an example and I wanted to show you the alternative method of parlay betting. There is no need to play it at once, we can put it off a bit. That is why we bet play after play putting all the winnings from previous plays on the following play.
It is very important to stick to the rules we set previously: the number of events we wanna play and how much money we wanna win.

I could show you but if youre not follow it its pointless. And you won't be able to follow everything cuz of the time zone (same with me reffering to baseball).
