Bayern got passed Fiorentina with a offside goal at home and a last minute long shot by Robben... they have been doing really poor this year they have relied on players like Robben and Ribery to get them goals. The way man utd took Milan apart in the San Siro, they should do the same here. Wait for the team info and maybe watch the weekend game vs Wigan.

Bayern can qualify, think they have a decent chance. Provided Robbin and Ribery are playing.

Sorry, i'm on the Ribery bandwagon. I think it's just enough to pull a draw at home. I will wait for the line-up but i'm not sure it will change my opinion. PLEASE, nobody put huge money on me. I just like making calls on big games haha....GL everyone

The odds are almost equal. So why not take United when you know they scored 3 goals away from home against Milan? And Bayern are an equally terrible team to Milan based on expectation this season.

Please don't put opinions towards this on odds and expectations...that's how they get you. Maybe I am wrong.. likely wrong, but I feel at home even as underdogs they will have some pride and pull a draw.
You should all listen to lakerboy. he is much better at this then me....I am just lucky. GL to all. and thank you ladies....makes my life happy haha....yeah. good night everybody.

This. If both play and there are no terrible mistakes in the defense then they have a good chance to win at home and maybe go through imo.

Wouldn't bet the first leg, feel it's better to bet United to win at home. But I don't think United wins in Munchen. Munchen wins or the game ends in a draw.

let me answer you to the thread question. Yes ! with Robben in a great day, and Mario Gomez with flair, Bayern can beat almost anyone, especially at home

They will not beat us at Old Trafford! Bayern should be worried about what they do at home first! Ribery is not 100% and Schweinsteiger is suspended for the first leg. They have some injury concerns particularly at left back, so Valencia will expose that and Ribery doesn't track back well to cover (plus, he'll be in Fletcher's back pocket). TheÃr centre backs are slow too...Rooney will have a field day against van Buyten or Badstuber.

add rooney having a poor match (let's say he's nervous, or gets injured, or something) and there you have a so called upset.
There are so many factors that determine the result of a match, especially in knock-out competitions...a league match is totally different...matches like these can end either way, because we're clearly talking about two very strong teams.

man, try separate the bettor and the fan inside you. I know it's hard and i simply cannot do that sometimes, but this is a very useful aspect of betting.... (i lost a lot on teams i love before being a bettor, and i always say to myself : "stop backing them!". I know that it's a fantastic feeling when you bet on your beloved team and they win, but why not go for 2 at once ? betting against your team. after all, you will be pleased eighter because you have more momey or because your team won.
cheers and let's cash something today, shall we ?

Bad news for Bayern (good news for United).....Robben hobbled off in today's league match and is doubtful to face United.

Bayern are no match for United. If they go on an attacking approach,it will be their burial;if they play it cautious,Utd still wins an under 2,5 goals game.

Is Bayern's defense healthy? I watched them in that road game against Fiorentina, and the central defense was horrible. Definitely not CL-quality.
