#37Power Rankings
Strong power rankings are one way to profits in the big soccer tournaments. There's no real need to look for upsets in the WC. The idea is to bet on the team with the higher ranking. (Here's an example from http://forum.sbrforum.com/soccer-han...2008-a-p2.html, where betting by simple power rankings produced 64% winners over the tournament, and higher before the knock out stages)
A group discussion can be very helpful, especially with so many African teams, and teams like Slovenia and Slovakia. So I was hoping to make this a group project. The more people post their power rankings, the more helpful it could be to all. A few weeks to go, so no rush. Slowly chiseling away on mine.Comment -

#48After seeing South Africa in the Confederation's Cup and a little in two recent friendlies,i don't think they have any chance of getting out of their group. They are kind of amateurish in defense and have big problems scoring, despite having a couple of good players-Mokoena,Pienaar,Mccarthy.
I'm with LB and Wil on this - and Jimmy likes it alsoComment -

#66Watch out for Honduras. People need to realize this will be a veteran Honduras side that more than likely will never get to reach the Finals with this group of players. They have some injuries, but I expect them to challenge for the second spot to qualify out of their group along with Spain.Comment -
