Off topic but just want to share it to have Any feedback - I heard today that Maldini might be heading to USA (not knowing the club). Can anyone comment on having same rumors going around?

If Maldini is going to the US, he would be heading to LA ... but cant confirm that.
BTW ... If I had to chose between Inter or Milan for next round, I would take Milan right now.

If Nani starts on the right ahead of Valencia, United will win 2-1. Otherwise a score draw 1-1 which will do us just fine. Evra will shut Becks down...way too much pace for him. My only concern might be at right back for us if Rafael starts. Ronaldinho might cause him some problems. Milan isn't the same team they used to be..way overrated and their back four are suspect.
lineup Fergie may start:
VDS
Rafael, Rio, Evans, Evra
Nani, Fletcher, Scholes, Carrick, Park
Rooney
Would like to see Berbatov up front with Rooney to put a little more pressure on Milan's defense, but since its the away leg, Fergie will probably use a 4-5-1.

I´ve only hit couple of times the right score but I also have a "mathematical" approach to sports betting (except SBR)
Anyhow Good Luck with the picks! I like the true hearted fans.

Risky game, Pato is back, Ronaldihnio plays a hell lot better when Pato plays, United will be without Vidic, and Milan seem to come to life in the Champions league, then again rooney is in unstoppable form, depends if Thiago Silva and Nesta are fit, then they have a good chance
Forward points to Karayilan, i am unable to receive SBR points

Was hoping to go to the Rossonerie to see this match, but will probably just go to OT for the return leg. I like our chances..sure we might not have Vidic playing, but all year we've either been without Vidic or Rio at some point and we did ok at the Emirates and I would say Arsenal would be tougher than Milan. A Milan team that barely manages to pick up a point over two legs against FC Zurich in the group stages is clearly not the same team that drubbed us in 2007. Pirlo killed us that match when he had Fletcher in his back pocket, but Fletch is such a better player now. We haven't lost an away tie now in 15 matches since then. That being said, we'll probably draw 1-1 which we usually do in these types of matches and then take it at OT. Not saying this is going to be a cakewalk by any means though.

I know that You must be emotional
While I was living in Florida I met few people from Romania(we were quite good firends), one of them played in the Youth squad of Your Country if I´m correct. I can get the names and pics as well
Btw. From my Youth days I always remember Hagi but I fell into Catenaccio and Maldini, he presented it the best way possible.
Anyway - for Italian clubs (especially Milan) it´s freaking difficult to take the English ones but I´m quite confident

You have Your points. for that.
Although I must say - it´s much more than just pure knowledge of Football. I do not want to get cocky but there is the "touch" that regular punters (not saying You nor I am one of them) do not get.

It is more than likely not going to happen. There is always a rumor floating out that a player wants to come back in MLS (U.S.'s top flight). Zidane was rumored to be rejoining his friend Beckham in LA and that never happened. This is probably much of the same. It is just a rumor and not much truth to it.

You might be correct that it´s more my wishful thinking but the source I got it was rather decent. Thanks for reply.

Reasons why this game is so risky (Milan v Utd)
-Milan are going all out, even if they get scored on early they will push to get a narrow win to have a chance at Old Trafford.
-United scored 3 goals away from home vs Arsenal, but more recently scored only 1 vs Villa.
-Milan dissected Real Madrid at home with Pato, and Pato is playing tommorow.
-It's a CL game.
etc... etc...
in summary: I think the over 2 (2.4) and tie (3.0) are probably the best options... any thoughts?
Not sure what you're trying to point out here. Against Villa, we were playing down a man for most of the match and should have won anyways. Villa play a completely different style of football (sit back and counter) than Arsenal does.

betus.com offering good odds on either side to score over 1, certainly like picking up AC Milan Over 1 @2.00, united is @1.87 for the same.
Over 2? maybe, but I can't see it.

Vidic did not travel with the team. Rio will likely start alongside Evans.

one thing that i always keep, never go against milan at champions league. they have different face here.
if trying to analyze it, from the players, this is the match where ronaldinho n pato get serious showing their skills, rooney is the only player that can withstand san siro crowds imo.
from league position, milan is virtually out of title race n they also out of coppa, so this is also virtually do-or-die title match for them (imagine a lose here, rumour bout leonardo may as well pack his things will start the next day), while utd only out of fa cup, still has chance at league, in fact visit goodison park at weekend.
try not to include their performance against arsenal here, coz as you can see, from 4-0 victory at fa cup few years back (not really remember the actual scoreline or time), but utd young players actually start dominating arsenal young players, so no suprise here.

United will win 1-0 or 2-0. The under 2.5 in a combo is suitable.

For some reason this thread have been stuck in my mind since yesterday. I'm very sceptical to the consensus on the over in this game. It seems to me that people neglect the fact that CL Playoff First Legs are almost always dull affairs, and that United are experts on closing games down.
Remember last year at the same stage of the tournament, away to Inter. 0-0 bore draw. My money will be on the Under 2 (as I do see a 1-1 draw very possible), and also an accumulator with under 2.5.
