I have been looking at this play for a while now and have decided that it offers good enough value for a full unit.
Aston Villa come into this game on the back of two league defeats but those were against Liverpool and Arsenal. More recently Villa beat Blackburn twice, a team more like West Ham than Villa's previous opponents and in both of those matches, Villa were exceptional, creating chances and ready to get back to doing it in the league.
They have a tremendous home record 6-2-2 and have conceded just 7 goals.
They also match up better against the weaker teams in the league, recently thrashing Hull and Bolton.
They are getting goals from all positions and with such a dominant home record, and recent form, in which 12 points have been had from their last 6, they look a solid bet giving West Ham a goal head start.
West Ham on the other hand have been struggling really bad, and wouldn't be surprised to see them slip further into trouble.
They are missing Franco and more importantly, Carlton Cole. He has 7 goals this year and his loss means they will rely solely on diamanti.
Noble is doubtful and a whole host of other players are missing.
On the road they are horrible, with one win and just 6 points from ten games.
They enter this game with 3 points from their last 9 away games and 3 straight defeats.
It doesn't get much better with recent form, just 1 win in their last 6 and given the dominance of Villa in recent performances, and coming off a recent league loss to Liverpool, i think a home win is not only possible, but the -1 start is very reachable.
Good luck
