At a first glance, Spain -3 / Over 3.5 goals, New Zealand +1 +0 or ML / Under 2.5 goals, going to cap these games and see what I come up with.

I need Spain -3 to complete a 4 team parlay!
Im sure they will end up winning by only 3 to make the value of parlay go way down.
But I do like :
Spain -3
LEAN:
New Zealand +1.5

The way that even South Africa was able to carve up the Iraqi defense leads me to believe that spain will have no problem getting 4 goals past them.
Time will tell though, best of luck guys.

There's nothing special about South Africa. Their inability to score against a lame Iraqi team tells you all about their offense. New Zealand (1st half) +700 is worth a shot here.

I'll be rooting for you but I fear that Spain might use their scrubs for this game!

With their final group game against Spain, this is a must-win for South-Africa. Expect them to come through. Opening game at home can bring added pressure. South-Africa should settle down against the Kiwis. Their best player in midfield, Pienaar (Everton, formerly Ajax), was sick and only played 5 minutes. He's good to go this time. New Zealand defense is not exactly world class... Took Spain 20 minutes to beat them four times before taking the pedal off the metal. That's amateur quality.
FWIW, the ref will be from Mexico.
I would just parlay South-Africa, Brazil, and Spain.
Of the top teams (Brazil, Spain, Italy) I think Italy is most likely to be upset. Spain is taking this serious. Italy looked like they were playing on the beach, especially in the first half against the US.
lol Phillth I was gonna point that out too.. I'm sure Spain's "scrubs" are better than Iraq's first team.
My early leans... Spain -3 or simply O 3.5, probably parlayed with South Africa -1.5 or the O 2.5 there.

Spain did not bring a single "scrub" to this competition. Every player on that list is class.

New Zealand +1.5 .....
2-1 Final is my prediction... New Zealand's defense may be slouchy but they have good strikers... the inability to score on Iraq bothers me... but in all fairness that shoulda been 1-0 their own player blocked the goal.
-3 for Spain is pretty hefty... against Iraq of all people... I dont think they will be taking that game very seriously... -3 makes me nervous.
The AFC qualifiers seem interesting.

OK ...
Do I put money on Spain -3 or just let my Parlay ride out? I have Spain -3 to complete my parlay. To win 6 units. Or do I go ahead and try to win more money by betting a straight bet on Spain -3 so if they cover I win even more?

At 2.5 now, that sucks if you need them to win by 4. Think you gotta ride that out and hope for the best. Leaning more toward the under 3.5 now. 2-0, 2-1 3-0 ?
Does Iraq have a chance to score ?

Whoa. That South-African is a terrible finisher. Totally missed the ball. Is that the same striker who cleared the ball from the wrong goal line in the first game?
The finishing is very, very poor for SA.

That was a goal. Not offside.

Nice! SA 1-0 (Bad finishing from Parker (!) again, but the ball took a lucky deflection)
Messy final 15 minutes of 1H for SA. The World Cup hosts, so got to know about them. They had a weak team like NZ exactly where they wanted them, on their heels, but instead of pushing for the second goal they took the pressure off. Looks like than can play but are vulnerable to losing their form for extended periods.

Well I quit betting baseball to bet soccer, and I'm 0-3 with NZ +1.5 pending (and not looking good).

SA could have been up 4 or 5 if they weren't so selfish. Players open in the box, but instead they shoot from distance to get their name on the score board. A few times now.
And again...

Pienaar is the brain of the team. Team player. Without him they're loose sand, and extremely selfish.

Italy could have their hands full with Egypt. A game against the reigning world champs is huge to Egypt. And Italy has played two very lackluster games. A 4-3 win over NZ in a friendly, and a 3-1 win, after falling behind against ten US players. If there's going to be a real upset in the tournament, this is the one.
