Champs League 3rd Round - All Fixtures on 26th
At home in the 1st leg puts the Bulgarians in a position to dictate their style of play...Scoring goals.
Zvezda are back in the CL after almost a decade absence and are likely to play cautiously. They know they must/cannot decide the tie here and will take what they can get so to speak. I have doubts in their quality however and believe Ludogorets have the talent pool and hired mercenaries to come away with 3 pts

    LUDOGORETS ML @1.78

Red Bull Salz were forced to play some of their stars in an opening league loss. They were down 3-0 at half and would've rather given them the day off. They will face a stingy Albanian side not nearly in the same league as them. However, It is prudent to think defence first and I will actually back the home side here.

    Tirana +1 @2.70
    Tirana +2 @1.46
Half with most goals -2ND- @2.10

No.1 BATE face No.1 Dundalk in their respective leagues. These two sides met last year in the qualifying rounds and BATE have a definite edge at home. Both teams are prone to lapses in defence but I think their familiarity will counter that.

    Under 2.5 Goals @1.54

Sparta were unlucky to draw CSKA last year and will be optimistic to get through here. Their summer friendlies have been rather poor but I think they will be ready for their first important match.

    Over 2.5 Goals @2.05

Viktoria have a huge incentive to decide the tie in the first leg...Qarabag will stall and endorse negative football to give themselves a chance...Heading to the land of fire without an advantage is not something this Czech side will look forward too. Like Sparta they will be ripping to go...I dont expect any pre-season legs.

    Viktoria -1 @2.60

Two teams that lineup very even to me. I will say nothing is decided in this match

    Draw @3.05
    Anderlecht DNB @2.40

Ajax on the decline and the Greek league is nowhere near where it once was with Piraeus running away for the last 10 years. Wont be many goals here.

    Under 2.5 Goals @1.62

Pjaca is gone but that will not stop the Croatian titans...Group stage or bust for them and they will throw everything into this match. Tbilisi is not as offensive as Vardar and that will suit them...

    Dinamo Zagreb -1 @1.95

Brazil-kranians are one of the best sides mentioned here. Lets take a calculated risk.

    Donetsk ML @1.40
    Correct score 2-0 Donetsk @6.50
    Under 2.5 Goals @1.85

Disagree. Anderlecht has a clear advantage. I would go for the double option (draw-Anderlecht win on this one).

Ajax on the decline and the Greek league is nowhere near where it once was with Piraeus running away for the last 10 years. Wont be many goals here.

    Under 2.5 Goals @1.62
On the contrary. I would expect 2-1 or 3-1 or 3-2 easily.

Not a chance. At least 3-0 or 3-1

Thanks for the input my friend!

      Anderlecht forsure...

I am just giving more credit towards PAOK and Young Boys given the tremendous seasons they had...not traditional mainstays but could turn heads for 1 season at this level...nothing more than that.

how much i understand you are Greek?
and i thought PAOK has had one of best transfer dealings of late this summer in long time, plenty good players for this game at their disposal, it`s always have been hard to break greeks , especially in 1st leg for an away game, and Ajax , who is not that strong as used to be and with new manager ... don`t think they will put 2 - 3 goals past greeks...
        i`ll call it 1 - 1

        @ cryptocap
liked your initial thoughts on rostov - anderlecht game... i am on draw here
Anderlecht is without their last season`s best striker Stefano Osaka, they are going to Rostov for first leg , where Rostov at home have been very good team and they have pretty good manager who likely to take over Russia`s NT or on demand for Lokomativ Moscow... can`t see it either side winning
and i`ll fallow with Partizan +1 and +2 in combo ... they shouldn`t get beaten by 2 in first leg at home...

I'm not sure how much value there is with home side at these odds. Sure, Zvezda looked bad in first three games of the season. But they are going to be in completely different position here. They have many new players and it is obvious that is one of the problems, because they don't know each others game. Defense is probably the main problem. They are pretty slow back there, but instead of having the line set at midfield like against valetta and Napredak, they will probably be pushed back by Ludogorets, where Fibel and Lukovic are acctually much more comfortable. Especially with two strong defensive midifelders liked Donald and le Tallec standing in front of them. Also, coach is probably going to put in Srnic at right wing rather then Mouche, who is a better player, but can't run as much and help the defense on the flank.

Even though Ludogorets has quality, it's going to be difficult to break Zvezda's formation here. Especially if they also opt for a more cautios approach. And because there is a lot at stake here, I think they could.

              cryptocap,

Thanks for the great write up regarding these games!

I did bet a treble with Donetsk win, Dinamo Zagreb win and BATE draw no bet. Odds 1.99 at Unibet.

              Good luck to you!

Yes I am Greek. Take a look at the tests:

                PAOK - Steaoua Bucuresti 3-4
                PAOK - Apollon Limassol 1-1
                Twente - PAOK 0-2
                Club Brugge - PAOK 0-2
                Silvolde - PAOK 0-14 (that's a joke)

Sorry. I just realized that I did not make something clear. I am not talking about Ajax scoring 2-3 goals on PAOK. I am talking about PAOK scoring 2-3 goals on Ajax!

My bet is GG and Over 2.5.
