Manchester United -300 v FC Porto
Who thinks Manchester on the ML -300 is a good play? I am thinking about laying down some major cash on this but want to know the thoughts of the experts on this site before I do it.

I don't like those odds, especially the way MAN U has been playing, alot of people seem to think Porto will be a walk in the park but at this stage its anyones compeition!

Man U have lost their past two games and in my opinion were pretty fortunate against Inter. They have hit a dip in form at the worst point of the season, now usually they recover quickly and get back on track but they look rattled.

I'm waiting it out, going to see what they do in the Aston Villa game and if they have another slip up I "could" end up fading them or at least taking Porto at +1 or even +2 which should be > +100 as Porto to win outright is +950. Obviously MAN U are the favourite and Porto is a mediocre team, nothing special but they have cup experience and keep discipline, however, in their current form I wouldn't put anything big at MAN U especially not at those odds.

The most in-form teams are Liverpool and Barcelona, if they play their A game with their current form I like their chances more.

I prefer manchester -1. probably odds will be around -130/-140. I think is impossible man doenst win this game, because porto is a very weak team.

It's time for Manchester United to step up and respond, quickly. Or they could find themselves digging a hole they won't be able to climb out of.

With Liverpool convincingly beating Aston Villa 5-0, pulling themselves one point closer to Manchester United, the Red Devils have to be feeling the pressure.

All the Quintuple talk has gone to their heads even if they shoot down any claims that they are thinking about it.

It's natural. Who wouldn't think about making history but the possibility of it is getting the best of them.

They need to regroup and come together if they plan to raise the Premiere League title come May.

It's a MUST win game against Aston Villa to give themselves a little bit of much needed breathing room.

And hope that Fulham can carry the momentum they had against ManUtd into the Liverpool match and get a surprising upset to keep Liverpool at bay.

Because now is not the time to be complacent. When the squad returns from international duty, it'll be back to work and Sir Alex will be demanding a good result.

Aston Villa will still be carrying the sting from the loss against Liverpool and United need to pounce on their not so confident foes next Saturday.

There will be no Nemanja Vidic, no Rooney or Scholes. So what?

They shouldn't let the absence of the other players lower their confidence, they have the deepest squad in the league, and the much needed experience to deal with pressure.

They need to dig deep and pull out the confidence and fight needed to get a result.

Because if they don't, this could spell DOOMSDAY for United and Happy Day for Liverpool and Chelsea.

United do not want to give them any satisfaction.

          Poll

Will United bounce back against Aston Villa or crack under the pressure?

I like the over 2.5 on this play. These are two of the most attacking football sides in the CL. I predict a 2-2 score for the game.

L'pool and Fulham only won because of sendings off, dont matter how good you are, you cant win with 9 or 10 men in the prem.

Cant see discipline being a prob in champions league, too much at stake.

              Utd easy win, 2-0 ish

Man U were finished in the LFC game before Vidic was sent off, as of now they are being overated, moral is low, discipline has been lost and panic may start setting in. Man U usually respond well to problems they face so they should pounce back but I'd wait untill the Villa game first that's a make or break game.

This strictly the 1st Leg right and it's @ OT? Lisbon got ran through, would expect the same to happen to Porto. Could be a repeat of the Roma thrashing a few years back.

Take United -2 or -2.5 if you can find them, over 2.5.

Wait for the Villa game and than place your bet

BetUS has Man U -1.5. The ML is pretty low at -300 so I am thinking to grab it now.

300 is very high for soccer, IMO the ML can only get lower

Go ahead Man U is taking it all the way to the final and losing to Chelsea but Porto is no match for Ronaldo and Rooney

Like I said Man U should never have got -300 in their current state.
