i see people dazzled here by southampton`s winning streak ...
this is how i see this one:
arsenal only have lost at home in calendar year 3 times - dortmund sucker punch in CL, bayrn won with man advantage and chelsea`s "100 million reserves vs arsenal reserves"....
arsenal havent` lost in league cup 3rd round over a decade now...
saints blistering 4 win winning streak consists of championship team and last years bottom half teams from epl, they yet to play top team...
arsenal second team for today consists of 9 world cup players + 2 internationals
arsenal team to choose from : David Ospina-Hector Bellerin-Calum Chambers-Isaac Hayden-Francis Coquelin-Tomas Rosicky- Mathieu Flamini-Abou Diaby-Lukas Podolski-Joel Campbell-Chuka Akpom Damian Martinez, Semi Ajayi, Gedion Zelalem, Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Santi Cazorla Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koschelny
all those players are hungry to show themselves and no game tiredness, they all have played together, most of them would just walk into this saints team.
who ever layed arsenal @ 1.55 or took saints @ 5.50... fair play, good price, the way to do it and GL ...
but you don`t get much arsenal @ over evens at home... maybe 4 - 5 times a year... man c, chelsea visiting CL grands .... now southampton @ 3.50 is bit ridiculous , even derby on seturday - spurs is @ 4.20
arsenal bench is longer and they not gonna play for draw in last minutes if it`s tied ...
i think this is where saints fairy tail stops c`mon, how long with loosing 4 - 5 star players they gonna pull this one ?

i think motivation on arsenal side is not that much about getting this cup in tonights game as show themselves, youngsters has a chance to show themselves in front of home crowd and that`s their rare opportunity to get into first team from resrves... and likes of cambell , rosicky , diaby, podolski , wilshare, chambers, fighting for more time in first XI ... i don`t think anybody will be there without motivation to put in good shift.

Southampton are way too short odds now so even though I think they have a decent chance of winning I am going one unit on over 2.5. Arsenal in cup games is usually high scoring.

ok these new players looked good so far , but as i mention, they yet to play or strong team...

I didn't think arsenal wanted to be in this cup. All the news in the UK pointed to that before the game. Southampton may have been lucky to win so I think over 2.5 was the only good play here.
