Who will be the first team to kick off Brazil - Croatia

Hey guys, I heard a rumour that since 1986, always the away teams gets to kick off the game. Some bookies offering now 1.90 for Croatia to kick off first. Anyone has info about that? Or stats where we can check if the above is true?

What if Croatia wins the toss? Nothing to stop them choosing to kick to a favoured end and thus relinquishing the kick-off.
As far as I know the World Cup games follow the global procedure, so the winner of the toss can choose to EITHER kick to a certain end, or take the kick-off. If either team perceives an advantage in kicking to a certain end for the first half, then the opposite team will kick-off, and the bet is basically a 50-50 proposition at -EV odds.
Usually, there is a bigger perceived advantage in taking the choice of ends, rather than choosing to kick-off.
If the Home side has let the opposition kick off in every opening game since 1986, then that could just mean that the Home side has won the toss on each of those (7) occasions, which is certainly not beyond the realms of normal variance.
