    tough plays tonight
    Roma v Napoli

    cup matches are difficult.

    for roma:

    • As Dodô and Federico Balzaretti are injured, Vasilis Torosidis is expected to start at left-back.
    • Rudi Garcia is likely to use the same XI that started against Parma in the match that was abandoned.
    • The only difference would be Radja Nainggolan's availability as the player was suspended in the league

    for napoli:

    • After receiving criticism for not fielding his best available XI in Serie A and losing 3-0 to Atalanta, Rafa Benitez is unlikely to rotate here.
    • Gonzalo Higuain and Marek Hamsik will be start this time, while Duvan Zapata should start on the bench.
    • Jorginho has been excluded from the UEFA list, which indicates that he's considered a reserve at present.

The visitors are likely to be without long-term absentees Behrami, Zuniga and Mesto. New signings Henrique and Faouzi Ghoulam could play some part.

Napoli have only managed two victories in the last seven on the road, losing the two clashes against Roma held at the Stadio Olimpico in the past 12 months.

Roma (4-3-3): De Sanctis – Maicon, Benatia, Castan, Torosidis – Nainggolan, De Rossi, Strootman – Florenzi, Totti, Gervinho.
Napoli (4-2-3-1): Reina – Maggio, Britos, Albiol, Ghoulam – Inler, Jorginho – Insigne, Hamsik, Mertens – Higuain.

    locked ROMA already BOL

any suggestions why roma odds are so high at 1.80? napoli had just lost away to atlanta? and roma got a break from the abandoned game?

Roma looks more serious in this cup, as they had knocked out Juventus from their last round, with their weekend match against Parma was postponed, the host had additional days to recover players energy to face Napoli

ROMA is on a superb form at the moment with 6W, 0D, 0L, scored 15 goals and conceded 1 at Home in the last 6 matches with an average of 2.67 goals per match! Compare to NAPOLI with 2W, 2D, 2L, scored 10 goals and conceded 11 on Away in the last 6 matches with an average of 3.50 goals per match.

I am asking the opposite, why Napoli odds are so high? They are a strong squad, they got punished 3-0 in the last game and they haven't played with their best lineup. My idea is that Benitez gave a rest to a couple of key players to be ready for tonight match.

Edit: Like yesterday cup game (I had a X between Udinese and Fiorentina) I also like the draw here

yes, Higuain only played 30 mins, and Hamsik didnt play at all against Atalanta. These odds are pretty usual when you get two big teams against eachother. Similar with Real Madrid odds tonight, and Man City odds against Chelsea.

yes Roma knocked out Juve, but Juve rested key players...we had Giovinco and Quagliarella up front instead of Llorente and Tevez. Peluso and Isla were the wingbacks which is a big downgrade compared to Asamoah and Lichsteiner. Storari was in goal instead of Buffon. And Pogba didnt play at all.

I took conservative approach with Roma DNB in a parlay. They should win the game in midfield...IMO Roma's midfield trident of Strootman, De Rossi, Pjanic is superior to Napoli's trio of Gokhan Inler, Dzemaili/Behrami/Jorginho/Ghoulam, and Hamsik.
