5th place match. That being the case, I am going to go for goals here despite both these teams being fairly goal shy recently. Who cares who finishes 5th, right? So looking perhaps for a bit more open play and entertainment with both teams more relaxed about the result. Panama beat Guatemala twice in friendlies in the build-up to this tournament, 2-0 and 3-0. Those were both in Panama though, so taking a side seems sketchy in lovely Costa Rica tonday.

As per my thread, I'm on Panama. This isn't just a fifth place playoff, winner will also qualify for the Gold Cup so is going to be a bit of a battle. GL though, Panama 2-1/3-0 will do us both good.

Belize is not a good squad. They will be sitting fat and happy to have made the Gold Cup for the first time. Honduras is much better side, I expect a multiple goal margin if they play their full arsenal. Honduras does not concede many either.

I'm on a roll so going back in. Though it was about to start but I'm late to the party - Honduras ML in play. Belize has a team of farmers and workers, Honduras have MLS players.

The only thing Belize have going for them is the best keeper in the CONCACAF Copa Centroamericana, Woodrow Wilson West.

Unfortunately Belize has already used 2 subs and we're only 38 minutes in. They are working extremely hard on defense and I expect they will get tired in the 2nd half. But who knows, maybe these little Jaguars will keep fighting strong!

Doubt it. I just found a link to this snooze fest and they have no chance at scoring. They really aren't even trying. Honduras is dominating the midfield but Belize is just parking everyone on defense. Honduras will probably slip one in eventually, although they aren't really trying too hard either.

Bengsten on Honduras just headed the ball over from the 3 yard box with the goalie flat footed on the other side of the goal. The little Belizeans might actually hang onto this if Honduras doesn't find a finishing touch!
