Why are you even doing this yourself? You should have an accountant do all of this for you. SBR is the last place I would ever ask for any kind of advice. Good luck to you.

No, you cannot get out of your obligation to chip in like every other tax payer. You use the services supplied by our government every single day and you have the nerve to try to pay less into it???
Your kind make me sick. What ever happened to the America promised by Obama? What ever happened to predictablity? The milk man, the paperboy, evening t.v.?

I am a licensed CPA. You can not deduct homeowners association dues on your individual tax return. If it is an investment property, you can deduct homeowners fees just like you would any other expense.

Question for the CPA.
Can you deduct gambling losses on your Amercan tax returns?
Is this why they can tax your winnings?

Can you deduct losses from BTC? Most CPA's wouldn't know how to answer this. That's why I don't mind paying top dollar for the best.

yeah you can deduct gambling losses but you have to itemize and you can only offset the winnings. crappy states like wisconsin don't let you deduct the losses so if you win $5000 and lose it right back you still owe wisconsin taxes of $300 or so.

Just finished mine on TaxAct again this year. Not bad at all. Import all info from previous year and change a few numbers and download the year's worth of stock trades into a csv file to upload and done in an hour max.
