mike, i'm sure you understand why i had to move this thread... seriously now. I'm Catholic and I'm even wondering wtf is going on in here.

what's happening is that most people aren't really offended by people bashing christianity/catholicism. but they are offended by the ridiculousness of doing it 100 times every day sarcastically.

i have made more than my share of offensive posts, but stuff like this from illini and then quoting a bunch of bible verses goes way past what a reasonable person of any religion would consider acceptable behavior

"Do you eat Ritz or Saltines when the Priest gives you the cracker? The Ash they Priest puts on you for Ash Wednesday does it come from Kingsford Charcoal?"
"If Jesus comes to you would you do some yack with him? I would love to snort some with Christ right off the bible... I want to heat up the spoon for my carga with jesus holding the lighter. I want Jesus to put the salt on the saltine crackers for me that my Priest gives me."

I actually ate the cracker last week at my Son's Baptism! It was the best wafer I have had in years.

A LOT of Asians here which is awesome. I never would've guessed it before moving here but it makes sense when you think about it. Some of the best things about living here - getting to travel to Asia for so cheap, making so many awesome Asian friends and finally eating real Asian food. Romper Stomper is too scary for me to watch all the way through.



Not being mean! Just not sure how you go from one extreme to another. Nothing wrong with it but when people are talking about baseball or whatever, it's not really the place to post Bible verses. Just like they wouldn't want to hear me spouting potty training tips xo

i only find it offensive because they shove Jesus and the bible down our throats as a joke without believing anything they're saying

even if they said the bible would make good kindling not too many people would mind as long as they didn't post it 100 times/day in every thread they could find

I agree it's insane. Most consider me very anti religion, just because I believe Christianity is for the most part a plagiarism of Egyptian mythology.

But more importantly, I agree. If there's a thread a bout say Jesus, you wouldn't have people highjacking it throwing in Lebron James stats for no reason. So it should be the same. Stop throwing it down someones throat if they aren't interested.
