Its a very sad time in the history of mankind,
Life has changed so much in the last thirty years, and really dramatically changed in the last sixty years. It is true the greatest generation has nearly all passed away, the ones that are still living are nearly 90 ,that would make these men your grandfathers or your great grandfathers. I'm at a point that I don't really care if I Die in the next year or so, I am very glad I got to live in the fiftys and sixtys truley great times, today all that you here is all shit. People mock God, the church, the government, The music today is absoutely awful compared to the last three generations stuff. All people want to do is get high and have sex. so much so they throw all the fun things to do out the window. I feel bad for the newest generation , they will be watching sex on t.v. before they can walk. It seems like we need such bad times to but everyone straight. Can you name anything better today, except for high tech material things?

Could you give examples of "fun things"?

Now that's a challenge.... maybe the Internet BUT I guess that would fall under the "high tech" category even though it's not really a "material" thing.

Life expectancy has increased, so has overall quality of life

What more can you ask for?

And people in the 60's and 70's had sex and got high all day long. People are no different today.

yes, and that was the people from the last three generations , its a fact the next generations coming up will not live as long diabetes is at an all time high everyone is 60 lbs or more overweight. iam in my 60 's andthat is not all we thought of is sex!Crazy as it seems fun things were just being all together and having your friends and uncles up and buy a pizza. You would always have an uncle mispronouncing words when he talked ,while your aunts would all be together cooking treats, everyone laughing listening to jokes etc. it didn't cost anything but everyone respected the country ,and usually the next day would be Sunday ,and all the families would go to church and get together after church, and do it all again.

The Duck and Turkey hunting is much better, but they want to take away my shotguns. And it's not better because of PETA or other animal rights groups, it's better because conservationist organizations consisting of sportsmen (hunters) organized to preserve the habitat and create programs to insure the long term health of the waterfowl populations.

This last decade circa 2000-2010 sucked ass. The music from 2005-2010 was just horrendous. The 80's & early 90's were cool. I was born in the early 70's so couldnt remember much but heard the late 70's was a blast.

You're right in saying that the youth today is whacked with no respect for anything. Cant pinpoint exactly what it is but I think excessive internet and the over usage of high tech gadgets like smart phones is somehow rewiring how their brainwaves work. Theyre much more impatient, disrespectful, and care too much about virtual realities( updating their facebook pages) than experiencing face to face , real life family, and friends.

I hate it when people cant sit down for more than 5 seconds without staring into their smartphones. Its like the art of non-digital conversation has disappeared over the years.

                                    Dominater,

What you said is true. What you are not realizing though, is that it isn't all around the world but just this country.

Travel outside of the U.S. and you'll see it's not this way in every country.

Sadly, life in the U.S. has deteriorated to the point where we have now have a virtual police state with cameras on the streets watching everyone.

Morals have sunk so low that we now have a culture where school shootings do not shock us anymore.

You are also right about sex being displayed openly. The media is saturated with sex 24/7. The culture in the U.S. has become obsessed with it.

There's no respect for God, the Church, or even the people in one's own family anymore.

Music is horrible anymore. Much of it promotes drugs, sex, and violence.

It is truly horrible to see.

I hope something wakes people up and things start changing for the better.

And if you hate Bieber being on the charts, you would have really hated mid 70's bubble gum pop. Not to mention disco.

Just the other day I was thinking about how lucky I am to be alive in this era. I wouldn't trade my teen yrs in the 90's for any decade, I like the idea of seeing what's coming next and it's all going to be coming fast now that technology has really taken off.

We seem to be close to the same age, and I can agree mostly with what your saying...except for the music.
The music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's, although near and dear to our hearts pales in comparison with todays music, unless one takes all thier musical inspiration from MTV, the spectrum of music is way better and more diverse then ever.
I once read in rolling Stone magizine that in the early 70's there were about 600 records released every year, in the early 2000's there were over 10,000 discs being pressed. 60's and 70's music was horribly produced, ever try to listen to the bass or drum lines on a Janice Joplin album? Also, lets not forget even Charles Manson got a record deal in the 60's

I'm pretty sure if the Beatles were an up and coming band right now they would have trouble even breaking into the music scene. I truley belive the Beatles became so popular just because of lack of competition and thats not even taking into consideration they were out sold by The Monkees and a man name Charlie Gracie, even in thier heyday .. thats my .02 cents
