Was raised Lubavitch Chabad. Very orthodox household. At 19 got into the reform I am 100% Jewish inside and out. I did marry a non Jew though.

It's a very lame thread.. There is just a lot of ignorance when it comes to what people think of Jews. Most comes from being uneducated and brainwashed from when they were young. You hear people talk about Jews in very derogatory ways from their youth to being an adult. They talk shit about how Jews are Doctor's, Lawyer's, Banker's etc etc... Nothing is handed to any of them.. they have to go to School and get the education to become a Dr, etc etc... It's just plain ignorance with people when it comes to Jews... the one that really is hilarious is people think all Jews are wealthy......I know more poor down and out Jews than wealthy ones...All the Jews in my family are successful and have made great lives for themselves, I also have relatives that are involved in the worst crimes and criminal activity in Eastern Lithuania and in parts of NY and the Ukraine... I have relatives that are the worst of the worst.....There is good and bad in all people... being a Jew has nothing to do with it.

Present theory that about 90% of people that call themselves Jews are not in any way related to the Jews of the Old Testament. Writer goes on to say that most present day Jews actually originated from Turkey. However, you must not confuse the religion with race.
