Why does anyone wear white socks?

Asked a brother last night why he always wore white socks with his sandals, he just shrugged. He does not know either.

Sometimes it's just cool to be ole school. Wearing them to the knees can be quite cool too.

Yes white socks obvious when dirty but you're not going to wear them for a week before changing them like you would with shorts.

I wear white socks...Sitting on the couch downstairs, flipping through the channels, see nancy grace on, get erect, jerk it, not gonna clean it up with my shirt, not gonna clean it up on the blanket, cats run away since I cleaned up using one of them that one time, I grab a sock, clean up, throw it on the ground, probably 9 sets of socks down there. Black socks show up the stain, embarrassing if friend comes over.

Actually white socks have been shown to be more effective at controlling foot odor. Black, or any other colored socks, have a slightly different texture that results from being dyed, and that texture irritates the skin and causes it to produce more sweat.

White socks are also sexier, as white garments always carry that virginal connotation. They make your feet look bigger, and since most people assume foot size is positively correlated with penis size, that's a good thing as well.

One of life's small pleasures is wearing fresh out the pack white socks. I likes to buy two 12 packs, wear each pair a few times then toss them out and buy more.

Your white socks can get a stain from inside the shoe. Your shoe is dirty or the colour transfers to the sock after sweating

put 1/4 cup bleach in with your white clothes every time you wash them they will stay white
