unemployment rate drops to its lowest level in 2.5 years
obama just locked up his 2nd term.

The American unemployment rate unexpectedly dropped to its lowest level in two and a half years in November, despite the many global crises batting against the economy.

The jobless rate fell to 8.6 percent, after having been stuck around 9 percent for most of 2011, the Labor Department said Friday. A separate survey of employers, which economists pay more attention to than the rate, also brought modestly good news: Companies added 120,000 jobs last month, after adding 100,000 jobs in October.

numbers probably have dropped because people ran out of there unemployment benefits. The jobs still not there for many. Never know about these numbers that come out i don't buy it. Course Obama will get a second term just because there is no one worth a buck running against him. And also people get temp work during the holidays so the number goes down for a bit.

Means nothing. The number is affected by those no longer looking for work. Many people that have been unemployed longer than the 99'ers will answer they are not looking for work. Crap jobs for the holidays also affect the number.

More people stopped looking for work than found jobs. The better number to judge unemployment is the U6

Yes. Very skewed stat. People just stopped looking for work and are now not considered "unemployed". Just reported on radio.

Working age population growth is nearly 3 times that number.

These are exactly the stupid people that voted this moron into office in the 1st place. 300,000 people stopped looking for jobs this past month. They are not included in the unemployment #. Typical minion blindly listening to the biased media!!!

Clearly job gains came from filling low skilled minimum wage jobs with an overqualified work force. They wont be voting for Obama.

You do realize that 95% of those jobs are temporary. The people in this country are so gullible. Obama is in way over his head.

amen to that. just one of the factors as to why these stats are meaningless.

I cant believe they don't count the guys outta work for 2 years as "unemployed". only people who qualify for unemployment benefits still count towards that number. What a crock of shit.
