This might be a good place to start...I think he reviews quite a few 9mm's...you might have to search back quite a ways. What state do you live in?Comment -

#6dont own any, but when i move out on my own i plan to get a small hand gun to keep by myside in the bed room. Being disabled i am not going to just be able to power some one out. Really have no idea what type I would want to own but I am sure when I go to the gun shop they will advise me on my options.Comment -

#8@neverstoppers, if you are looking for a home defense weapon, you can't go wrong with a shotgun. You can point shoot those effectively, whereas point shooting a moving target with a pistol can be challenging. Also, small barrel semi-auto handguns can be extremely hard to aim with, but I have heard that small barrel revolvers tend to be more accurate and easier to point shoot. Anyhow, I'd recommend going to a local range, where you can try a bunch of different handguns out and really find a good fit....really the best way to do it.Comment -

#19Good question...I know that in the gun-loving state of Utah, it would not be an issue. There's a few range/gun combination places and that's the best way to try out a handgun. Maybe some of the others can weigh in on this...doubt you'd visit Utah if you're a touristComment -

#20I still have my 10mm that I bought in the early 90's. As yet, I've only used it on the range (knock on wood), but nice to know it's there.Comment -

#21I have a SR40c right under my bed loaded. I have 19 other guns but most are antiques but are fully operating. I do have a Tavor TAR-21 assault rifle, Israeli that is very fun to shoot. Sitting in my closet just in case.המוסד

#26This isn't the cheapest handgun to purchase and customize, but it's a colt, it's a .45, and it's the easiest gun to shoot...This is also the gun that I carry in the fall and winter...my sig is my spring/summer carry handgun.

#29My colt is much is easier to conceal under larger garments, whereas the sig. works better with summer clothing. Both of these guns are not the best options for carrying discreetly, but they tend to work given my frame.Comment -
