What do I wear to a summer wedding ?

A friend of mine is getting married on friday and I don't want to wear a suit

What should I wear?

I'm thinking navy pants, blue shirt and striped tie

what a cruel and nasty thing to get invited to a wedding in the middle of summer. why don't people just elope at a justice of the peace or city hall. do they want presents or attention. what a waste of time and money. chances are the marriage won't last anyway. only 1 out of 10 marriages in this country are actual weddings. the people that are invited probably loathe the fact that they have to go and save face but would actually rather be somewhere else. what a bore. it is so out of date to actually plan and have a real wedding not to mention costly. take a poll while there just how many would rather stick needles in their eyes than go to this abomination.

There usually are women at weddings - a suit. If you get their and it is not worth it - ditch the jacket and tie. However, if there are women - a suit works. Wear the suit and make sure your shoes are polished!

Definitely wear a suit to the wedding. I know it seems fine now but when you get there the men will be wearing suits and the boys will be wearing shirts and ties only. Except for the one sharp kid that's wearing a suit and out classin' you.

The reception is a different story.

I'll be attending a wedding next week as well. Not really sure why couples get married in the middle of the summer, BS.
