I do. I use it primarily for video. I transfer all the porn from my PC to the iPod and the iPod is connected to my big screen. Remember the 1st iPod only have 5 gigs of storage and only worked with Macs?

All depends on the sample rate of your tracks.
If you go CD quality, you aren't going to get anywhere near that many.
A simple JavaScript song and album capacity calculator for MP3 Players.
My ears cannot tell the difference between the CD and a 320 kbps MP3. You can fit ~20,500 songs at 320 kbps on a 160 GB iPod. If the average album is 45 minutes long, you will get about 1,600 albums at 320.

I have one and just realized I haven't used it since I got my IPad. My having one really doesn't answer your real question but after browsing ever thread available here and in Players Talk there just wasn't anything I could make my daily post in.
