Yes it is illegal here in the US. But prostitution is different from the porn industry. Anyone can get a 5 dollar hooker, whereas a pornstar cost a couple of thousand. But essentially, it has to be filmed and sold. Supposedly, they're filming and selling a movie, that happens to have a lot of sex in it. That's how they're able to get away with it.
